I can understand wanting to keep PNG out of the PRC camp, however they and the other Pacific Island countries will continue to play us off against the PRC with their hands out for more bribes until we say enough.
The problem is these islander politicians have no grasp of the long term implications of deals with the PRC, only seeing the short term cash flow.
