I eat steak once a week. Less meat likely good for me at my age, good for my wallet, maybe even good for the planet. Because of this I only buy quality meat, mostly from Scottsdale or the bulk butcher for bigger scale cooking/preserving.

I’m certain food in Tasmania would be amazing!
I only eat meat once every 3-4 months. Chicken and fish more often.
So when I source good meat I don’t mind paying the high price tag for a few times a year.
Today we had the scotch fillet and it just melted in mouth like marshmallow.
So I’m very pleased with my purchase yesterday.
I’ve got a nice local fruit and vegetable store I go to as it’s all local produce.

Kitchens and cooking are so important to our well being.
I don’t quite understand how some say… they never cook  Shocked
With a family and all too. What do the family eat?

What do the family eat? Hungry Jacks, Barnacle Bill, McDonalds.

I LOVE cooking!

Breakfast today was two coddled eggs, one with a bit of a nice Tassie cheddar, the other with some lovely Tassie salmon, and a slice of sourdough. BURRRRRPPPP!!!!!!!!

I know a lady who wanted to rip out her kitchen completely to make room for a larger living area ... she said she never used it anyway and it was just dead space

She had two young kids and was expecting her third when she said it.

I had to explain to her how it would adversely affect her sale price when she came to sell it ... apparently the idea never even crossed her mind until I mentioned it  Roll Eyes

My reaction too (Jesus!  Shocked)
And here I am wanting a butlers kitchen as well as a full kitchen!
I once read that future kitchens would be very small and practically non existent due to many apartments city style near cafes/eateries etc

In the mornings, when driving out somewhere, I see those mobile coffee vans parked with a shyte load of people buying coffee there.
Don’t people make their own coffee first thing in morning upon waking?

Food is not just “fuel for the body” (a quote from some sports coach somewhere.)

To continue the car analogy—food is also the lubricating oil and the coolant fluid—more biological functions than just a source of energy.

Food is so much more!

Cooking is an expression of creativity!

Eating helps to bring a family, a community closer together.

If you live in the inner city, especially if you have no kids at home I reckon eating out would be a fairly natural thing to do but not EVERY MEAL!

Chicken kiev (kyiv) with asparagus, peas, spinach, carrot and potatoes. Gravy to cover. Movie night tonight with my coffee and remainder of chocolate.

Looks OK.

Mine was the best pie in the world -
look at those big chunks of juicy beef -
went down like nectar.
