I want to make lasagne soon, maybe some fried zucchini could go in that?

Can set up my pasta machine so no need for 9 egg-yolk pasta.

Must order some red curry paste—make Thai fishcakes (assuming I can get some decent fresh fish.)

I was watching a show last night where this guy travelled to an Italian restaurant along the Amalfi coast I think it was… he had zucchini pasta and said it changed his life!
So I searched and found the recipe … that’s on my “to cook” list soon.

Here it is! Amazing simple few ingredients and vegetarian.

Well…. I’ve started on this recipe!
Zucchini cut up and fried in sunflower oil (specified that oil so I had to rush out to shop to buy it)
Tomorrow night will be the reporting result.

So much effort Smiley
Char grill some halved Zucs and serve with pasta.

You know what, I will do that next time, char grill zucchini or even maybe eggplants and see how it compares.

Soup mug of country chicken soup. Vegetables getting boiled. Sausages to be cooked and eaten before they go off. A couple tubs of yoghurt for dessert. Then drift off to sleep for 6 hours before a new day arrives.

Finally I managed to get to this organic grass fed butcher shop!
I bought chicken, snags, scotch fillet, and rump steak.
I brought my happy little bundle of goodies home and look forward to trying it out. Smiley

OMG yes!
I’m so delighted.
I’ve been put off meat for ages it seems. Since all the revealing back then of grain feedlots and how cows are injected with anti biotics, this that ‘n the other.

I’ve returned to buying meat but from pillar to post, buying meat and it was either tough and grissly or not much flavour as I remember. Even at restaurants I finally gave buying the meat menu a try hoping for some redemption and it was a nightmare! I was so disappointed. I decided to stick to the usual fish meals.

So, after thinking and searching I found an organic butcher in Belgrave, but still that certain meat flavour wasn’t there. Then I realised they never specified grain fed or grass fed. Naturally I’m safely assuming grain fed since it’s disappointing lack of flavour.

I searched the internet to find only 2 butchers that are organic and grass fed.
How excited I was!

This one I went to is in The Basin (at the foothills of the Olinda mountains).
Now it’s not cheap and I’m willing to pay if it’s good.
Last night I couldn’t resist.
I cut a bit off the rump steak and simply fried in a little olive oil. Added some Himalayan salt and pow!
There it was!
That flavour I remembered from long ago!  Smiley
Oh days of joy!

And…. I also have a fishmonger that sells only Australian fish (yes expensive again) but wow it’s amazing!

How happy am I  Smiley

I eat steak once a week. Less meat likely good for me at my age, good for my wallet, maybe even good for the planet. Because of this I only buy quality meat, mostly from Scottsdale or the bulk butcher for bigger scale cooking/preserving.
