Well shock, horror...   economy changes might force home buyers into competition with investors... who'd 've thunk that?

I'd say there were other and more widespread issues in play... like............... immigration en masse?

The United States will pay Liberia $5 million to host migrants deported from third countries, The New York Times reported. The funds will be used for housing, food, and vocational retraining for these citizens. Liberia assured Washington that the deportees will not be subject to persecution based on race or religion.

I'm grappling(sic) with the concept of how - on the one hand - it is shouted as being the Joker of economics to just generated greater overall GDP by bringing in masses and spreading the dollars thinner... and yet somehow it does not fit the idea of developing greater GDP by having greater prosperity across the entire spectrum of CURRENT individuals...

Apparently it is better to have greater strain on available resources by forcing population growth out of control, thus making the overall prosperity of the total population weaker.... than to feed one's own first.

Can't work that one out.... Keating called any economy in which the people were too prosperous 'over-heated' and reckoned it caused inflation so we 'needed' a recession and 15% mortgage interest rates ...  as in WTF?  ... and yet developing overall thinner GDP - which is clearly having the exact same results of 'over-heated' economy and MASSIVE real inflation.... doesn't fit the same 'thinking'.

I think it's time these 'economists' learned about reality ...

ALP set to fail in its target to halve immigration... next year.
Just like housing.
Just like everything else.

Just filling their pockets and feeding their Lefty troll cults around the country and now funding the EU because Trump won't.

I went back to my hometown recently, a small suburb in north-west London. I strolled the streets, stopped by the crumbling library where we did our homework, visited the convent where I was educated (it’s a block of flats now – isn’t everything?). And I’m going to tell you something I’ve been keeping to myself since that day: while I was there I didn’t hear a word of English.

It really hit me later in the evening, on the Tube home, when I heard a young English fella yapping on his phone. ‘This teenage blather is the first thing I’ve understood today’, I thought to myself. And you know what? I was grateful for it. I’m at that age where I find mobile chatter on trains irksome. Not this time. The boy’s voice hit me like thunder, a sudden, blinding bolt of home.

Walking my old haunts – the record store now a 24-hour greengrocer, the second-hand bookshop an Afro barbers – I heard Urdu, Russian, Romanian and other tongues I couldn’t decipher. I know what I’m supposed to think: that it’s enriching to find oneself wrapped in such a glorious tapestry of diversity. But all I felt was crushing alienation. The foreign voices closed in like a fog, rendering me a stranger in my own hometown.

Am I allowed to mourn my old neighbourhood? Am I allowed to say I miss the cockney hollering of the long-gone market stall holders? And the hum of Anglo-chatter in the disappeared greasy spoons? And the old English geezers standing at their gates who’d say, ‘Raising a football team, love?’ to my young Irish mum as she walked by with her huge brood in tow?

Am I allowed to think there’s a reason God punished the Babylonians who tried to reach His kingdom by scrambling their language so that they could no longer understand each other? Beating my old streets, hemmed in on all sides by mysterious tongues, I finally understood what a savage curse that was. You nailed it, God.

I’m not the first person to go home only to find home no longer exists, I know. But we might be the first society where it’s a cancellable offence to lament home’s withering. Where even craving connection is considered gauche. To some in polite society, my longing to understand what people are saying, to feel linguistically at one with the people with whom I share an island, will be an intolerable request with the whiff of ‘white fragility’. God punished people with unfathomable tongues; we’re punished for wanting a universal one.

What is a Briton? It’s a question many of us are asking, normally in hushed tones over cold pints. The morally sanctioned view is that the new residents of my hometown are as British as the old ones were. Some of them, perhaps a majority, will have acquired British citizenship, so case closed: they’re Brits just like those wideboy butchers and bakers that saps like me are nostalgic for.

But is it true? Listen, I wish no ill will whatsoever against the people who have replaced the English and Irish of my old hometown. Good luck to them. But all of us, in the deep, quiet sediment of our psyche, know it’s a strange Brit who rejects the English tongue, or who covers her face in the fashion of Islamic obscurantism, or who lives here but doesn’t really live here. We know there’s a difference between being technically British and really, spiritually British. And we should be free to say so, right?

I see Reform UK’s new proposals on social housing as an effort to say this unsayable thing, to acknowledge in law the thing we have been prohibited from acknowledging in social discourse: that a Briton for life and a newly decorated ‘British citizen’ are different things.

Reform says that under its future rule, foreign-born folk, even those who have become British citizens, will be made to wait longer for social housing than native Brits. ‘Racist!’, the chattering left wails with soul-eating predictability. Oh stop it. Through the housing issue, Reform is trying to right one of the grave moral errors of our time – the industrial-scale emasculation of British citizenship.

We can all sense it: the slow, humiliating stripping of weight, teeth and pride from Britishness. The bloke who’s been here for five years and yet has not one word of English – he’s as British as John Cleese, they say, and you’re ‘fash’ if you say otherwise. Citizenship is handed out like candy, and at the same time we’re instructed to feel shame over British history, and to quit our ‘supremacist’ belief that Britishness is special, and to tut tut when some oik hoists the British flag up a lamppost.

Did the credentialled classes really think they could so ruthlessly eviscerate Britishness and that there would be no consequences? The fools. The consequences have come. And one of them is a very serious discussion about how we might distinguish between people who’ve been Brits forever and people who’ve been Brits for five minutes. The people calling this discussion racist are the people who made it necessary.
Brendan O'Neill

You can substitute Austrlian for British without any loss of meaning.

Today I spoke in the House of Commons... in English... and though I know most struggled to understand my points, I felt supported and sustained by this sceptred multi-culturalism... and I knew, by the end of my speech, that should.... THAT man... Putin .... carry out his threats against Britain..... all those present would seek the middle way and would not create mayhem and mega-death by resisting ... such is their dedication to Humanity uber alles... like some before them - Red Sonia for example - whose treachery against the Britain that sheltered her was exemplary ... she was justified by the thought that by selling secrets to the Russians about Britain's atomic bombs - she was maintaining the peace and preventing nuclear war and devastation ...... and so are all these honourable members.

Iraqi refugee Salah Sulaiman Almuhama, 29, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old schoolgirl after picking her up from a shopping center in Toowoomba, Australia, where she was waiting in her school uniform.
After contacting the girl on Snapchat about a vape sale, he drove her to a remote lookout, gave her $50, pulled down her pants, and carried out the assault.
Judge Deborah Richards said Almuhama had treated the victim “like a prostitute,” taken advantage of her, and forced sexual acts on her.
Yet after the original rape charge was dropped and he pleaded guilty to child sex offenses, he received a 12-month sentence suspended for two years.
The judge cited “exceptional circumstances,” including visa issues, his lack of criminal history, six months already spent in custody, and allowed him to walk free.
Because the sentence remained below one year, his visa will not be automatically canceled, making deportation nearly impossible.

Boxing coach Louis Meehan shot dead in community centre carpark at Punchbowl, southwest Sydney

Following the incident, Ahmad Hraichie, known best by his online handle ‘The Muslim Undertaker,’ said his ‘beloved brother has returned to Allah’ in a Facebook post.

“May Allah forgive him, have mercy upon him, illuminate his grave and grant him the highest level of Jannah,” Mr Hraichie wrote.

“He was a good man, known for his prayers and good deeds.

“May Allah make this difficult time easy for his wife, children, brothers, family and everyone who knew and loved him. May Allah grant them patience, strength and comfort.”

Vibrant diversity is our strength, innit.

Oo-er, what's this then?

The stepson of Norway's Crown Prince Haakon has been found guilty of two counts of rape and other crimes. Marius Borg Hřiby, 29, has been sentenced to four years in prison by an Oslo court on Monday.

That rules out Norway and Denmark then.

They're eating the dogs, they're stealing the pets, they're freezing our cunts...

A Danish man whose freezer contained women's genitals has been found guilty of various crimes by a South African court - but not female genital mutilation.

Peter Frederiksen was found guilty of rape, production and possession of child pornography, conspiracy to murder and numerous other charges.

But the charges relating to mutilating women were dropped last month.

A judge was unable to find him guilty due to a loophole in South African law.

According to local media, the law was unclear on what penalties removing body tissue without consent should carry.

'Not a man of high morals'

Police found 21 women's body parts in his freezer in Bloemfontein in 2015, neatly labelled in plastic bags with a date, the name of a woman and where she was from, the BBC's Milton Nkosi reported at the time.

Even the right wing pundits on News 24 - Wednesday nights are boring - are carrying on as if we 'need' huge immigration - sucked in... the claim is that we don't have enough skilled persons etc..

Trouble with that 'reasoning' is that THE MORE PEOPLE YOU BRING IN THE HIGHER THE DEMAND FOR SKILLED PEOPLE... and meantime the existing infrastructure and social structure and economy is going to hell on a bike...

We have plenty of skilled people - the demand will never be met as long as governments persist with bringing in more and more empty mouths...  I've given you one answer - Skilled Guest Worker visas .... and another - just cut it down... the economy won't collapse if you stop shoving people twelve to a room.. it will adjust and then improve.

Everything fine in Australia ... ten to a room in Australia... Everything fine in Australia ... organised crime in Australia...
