Namely, the Neoliberal-Neoclassical "small government" economy, which has resulted in the current c-o-l and housing crises for low income workers.

But the question arises: how to fund the necessary government spending to deliver the esentials for all - higher taxes, or government-debt write-off, or some other method?

Btw, in Oz only the Greens promote higher taxes on wealth and corporations, but the Greens vote has flatlined because the public (including economists, media and politicians) don't understand how money is created, and how to avoid inflation.

ie money is created ex nihilo, and inflation is avoided by balancing aggregate supply and aggregate demand.
