Albo is a centrist who would like to claim to be progressive. Nobody in Australian politics is a Marxist.

Most Labor leaders following Whitlam have been centre right politically, Albo is about the closest to centre. Keating for instance was ecanomically strongly to the right, Hawk was a moderate right. Gillard was also ecanomically centre right.

The mistake of Keating being so strongly right was that it forced the Liberals to take up a more extreeme right position. In the short term this benifited Keating politically but the longer term having created a more extreme right has hurt Australia. It gave us the rather strange and extreeme Howard followed by the stranger and more extreeme Abbott as well as putting the likes of Scott Morrison on the table.

You do not need to meet a Marxist to understand and form a view of Marxism just as you do not need to meet a Muslim to understand and form a view of Islam.

In any case, how would you know if you met a Marxist or a Muslim if you had no idea what Marxism or Islam were?
And then how would you know if your Marxist or Muslim was a true representative of his species if you didn't have an understanding of Marxism or Islam?
