To many questions and not enough answers, Albo was at another sanitised smoking ceremony on one of the Torres Straight islands a few days ago, why doesn't he go down the creek in the Alice and have a smoking ceremony with a few of the Boongs down there and tell them to send their snotty nosed puss eyed kids to school instead of spending all their money on piss and chips, and take Tanya Plibersek.

He should certainly do both...but - like you - Albo has been captured by neoliberal low-tax orthodoxy, and so - unlike you - is looking to symbolism, to close the gap.

I think he has something up his arse.

What would you consider to be high tax?

High enough to fund common prosperity.

But as Gareth Hutchens has observed: the neoliberal toad Philip Lowe should be exposed for pitting taxpayers against taxpayers ...with the most powerful group invariably winning....

...because Lowe can fund public policies himself (up to a limit defined by the nation's productive capacity, of course).

It's the last taboo in central banking. So will the RBA review look at how money is created?

The term  "common prosperity" offends you?

OK, I'll replace it with the term "general welfare", a term used in the preamble to the US constitution......

So now my post reads:

High enough to fund the general welfare.

But as Gareth Hutchens has observed: the neoliberal toad Philip Lowe should be exposed for pitting taxpayers against taxpayers ...with the most powerful group invariably winning....

I meant, how high would you want taxes to go? The government currently takes about 28% of GDP.

Also, by "common prosperity," do you mean like when the CCP starved 50 million of its citizens to death by trying to feed them?

Nah ... you beat him by about 10 lengths.

I'll add to that .....

Here is the statement direct from the great divide:-

The voice will do it by stopping a neoliberal ideologue like Howard from dismantling a successful scheme like the CDEP.

I rest my case - it is clear that the voice - in the minds of many at the very least - has a veto where and when it chooses.  Since I view divide as a New Labor schill trying desperately to sell this thing - clearly that is the intent behind the whole thing - if not in the initial stages - then certainly by developing rights, privileges and powers along the way - one at a time like boiling frogs.

The 'mission statement' of the Voice project says so itself:- that government may amend its activities etc from time to time...

This is what happened with feminism and domestic violence legislations - and clearly this is what will happen with any other demon from the Keep given embodiment ....

Clearly this is not some new genie you want to let out of the bottle.

I've tried to explain to her and others here that insulting others and name-calling is a guaranteed way to not only develop your own opposition, but to cement that opposition into opposing what it is you stand for.

I even quoted Richard K Barnet's book "Intervention and Revolution", specifically where he explores why an individual becomes an insurgent.  Basically he says you can generationally starve his own, abuse them, neglect them, disempower them and so forth - but the last thing you ever want to do is insult him.  Do that and he will take to the jungles and fight you to the death.

The stock in trade of the Woke Left is insult, abuse, name-calling and so forth... along with the deliberate disenfranchisement of any who oppose their New City Hall views openly while holding a job near them.... the public service springs to mind.

Take a look at the dworkins here who do exactly that to promote their ideology.... case proven.

Good start. After that, the govt should increase resources at TAFE, employ every available teacher and builder, to pass on these skills to all unemployed aboriginals; and improve the community's awareness of primary health (healthy living). etc etc. Close down half the grog shops (since out of control grog consumption must be reduced)

There are only 50K people in the Alice: Oz could develop and showcase community transformation to the world.
