Barbara Walter does not expect to see a civil war in the US of the order of the conflict that
tore the nation apart in the 1860s, but that’s chiefly because civil wars are fought differently
these days.

The key concept is that of “anocracy”, a transition stage of government between autocracy
and democracy. The transition can be made in either direction, and it is during the transition
that most civil wars erupt. Autocracies possess sufficient powers of repression to keep potential
insurgents in check; democracies allow dissidents means to effect change without resorting
to violence. But when autocracies weaken, repression can fail, and when democracies ossify,
the release valves get stuck.

Here's a disquieting article on the issue:

3 retired generals: The military must prepare now for a 2024 insurrection

"As we approach the first anniversary of the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, we — all of us former senior military officials — are increasingly concerned about the aftermath of the 2024 presidential election and the potential for lethal chaos inside our military, which would put all Americans at severe risk.

In short: We are chilled to our bones at the thought of a coup succeeding next time...

The potential for a total breakdown of the chain of command along partisan lines — from the top of the chain to squad level — is significant should another insurrection occur. The idea of rogue units organizing among themselves to support the “rightful” commander in chief cannot be dismissed..."

A civil war would resolve the issue of the "Internationalist" persuasion of politicians versus the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. "It's the duty of citizens to rid the United States of tyranny" ... "Tyranny" being anything that ignores the People (We the People), and both the Constitution and the Bill of Rights

However, the Amendment Process could avoid civil war, if only they'd use it. But it seems the International Socialists in Congress are allergic to amending their inbreed socialistic norms, and in so doing, are contaminating the original intent of the Constitution - Not on! Civil war might ensue

A States Convention needs to be initiated to resolve differences. Since Congress is so reluctant to do that, then the States should initiate the Amendment Process, which they're allowed to do, and the sooner the better
