Self-charging battery from water

Self-charging battery generates electricity from moisture in the air

OK so it's small now, but that's how solar started too.

Key points:

Researchers at UNSW have developed units able to power small electronic devices

When someone is trying new technology they don't typically go for scale. They build the smallest working unit they can until they get the technology right, then they go for scale.

Usually the demonstration project is large enough to drive a motor etc that can be seen running not a micro-solution.
