I always enjoy trying out new brands of bodywash, aftershave, cologne, etc. I think other people enjoy the change too. Sometimes their quality show in their effectiveness. Like I found some deodorants don't last as long or leave 'residual' and thus they don't last long in my use and are thrown out.
Really enjoying the David Beckham brand at the moment, as I've come back to it a number of times over other brands.
I've had women comment on how nice and pleasant it is and isn't over-powering.

I always thought that wearing Cologne was a bit poofy.

It's better to put some whisky in a little spray bottle
and spray that on so you smell like a real man.

You would smell like a dirty hobo Monk? Grin

No - Monk smells of stale Sherry.

The type of women JSin associates with would consider a fart as foreplay.

Well the Shona, Nbele and Xhosa chicks liked it so much, they'd tell me in bed that it beats smelling their own men who smell like farm manure.

Try some David Beckam. It's not expensive at all, but a step above the cheapo stuff.
My choice of Top Shelf stuff is still Aramis. Expensive, but really marks one's territory at a dinner table with other guys wearing Top Shelf stuff too. Aramis for me has defeated many a Polo wearing guy.

JSin's farts intoxicate and disable women?

Like Bobbie's boudoir after a frantic, sweaty soiree?

Especially if JSin is involved wearing his favorite cologne which is redolent of Beckham's sweaty armpits.

Well, I would think that cologne has a bit of alcohol in them. But you want that scented smell to give off the appearance of manliness whilst also smelling like you have tried to keep clean. I have gotten home from work smelling quite alright even after running around in a hot kitchen with sweat pouring off me. An hour under the fan, and the smell of sweat is outmatched by the remnants of the cologne.

I was going to get a bottle of cologne tomorrow in my groceries. Given the change in weather, I could probably use some cologne for those cooler nights. I never seem to get through a bottle before the winter is out, though.

Being an old bloke - Old Spice, Brut or Menage would be your mid-shelf go.
Being a tight-arse - cheapo bottom shelf is your go alright Geoff.  Grin

If you get it on special for $4, David Beckham body spray is quite alright. Too expensive at $8 per can. If the item is on special tomorrow, I will buy 5 cans of that body spray. That should last the next 5 months.

LOL... when I was a young'un Brut was THE cologne to wear as a
(hopeful) chick magnet.

Walk into any teen dance in the sixties and
it smelt like the Brut factory's testing lab.        Grin

You can still wear Brut or Menage now Geoff.
You could pick up a 20-something because you smell like their daddy.  Wink
