David Beckham deodorant is good.

I switched from using David Beckham deodorant to Rexona 72 hr antiperspirant, for work. My female co-workers seem more receptive of me now.

Actually my hubby often buys Rexona. As long as he doesn’t put too much on ... I’m ok with it.

Edit : Otherwise it brings on an asthma attack 😩🥺😔

One of my former female housemates told me that I waste too much deodorant. She told me that it was a matter of a quick spray under each armpit. Meanwhile, I am here spraying each armpit for a second. Then 2 seconds spray over my chest.

The Rexona antiperspirant is pretty effective. I only use half as much. But, the smell is quite powerful.

I agree but it’s not as vomit inducing.

TBH though .... my husband doesn’t smell. In fact his natural body either smells nice OR he has no smell.

Note : In stark contrast ... my EX husband’s natural body smell used to make me feel like throwing up. So back then I used to buy HIM cologne and encouraged HIM to use it so I could mask his body’s natural smell.

And yes it often meant I was in some other part of the house having an asthma attack.😩

I have noticed that when I use baking soda as a mouthwash, I don't have bad breath for a long time afterwards. I also drink diluted apple cider vinegar before bed. My body odour has somewhat diminished. Not that I don't stink when I go for a run. But, I don't stink so bad that the flowers die as I walk pass.

Have you ever known of people that do not shower more than once every other day? I have. Even I went 2 days without showering, one time. I smelt really sour until I had a good 10-minute shower. The stink I raised from my 4km walk last night was bad enough. But, when you have a hot shower to let the muscles relax, it is worthwhile to know what kind of soap you are going to use to wash your body.

If you have a shave, make sure you give your body and face a good scrub over. Apply the aftershave balm when you are dry. Going out in public, you have to at least be presentable for the sake of other people.

My father only made an effort to be clean before he got into bed, or if he was going to a function. Otherwise, he stunk like an old fart (literally and figuratively) with his ageing body smells that only his pet dogs found sexy. It is pretty difficult to form a relationship when your girlfriend thinks your dad smells too much like mouldy cheese. That is probably the motivation behind me writing a response to this topic.

If I don't shower in the morning I will feel bad and be cranky all day.

I tend to buy the one on special when I shop, I don't find any difference between the 4 or 5 brands which rotate to a low price. Rexona is fairly common as is the one in the grey can Nivia I think.

In year 6 of primary school, our teacher lectured us about the need for us to shower in the morning before we came to school. We thought it was amusing, since we had this idea that one shower a day was sufficient. But, it caught on to at least rinse our bodies over in the morning to wash off the tiredness. Dad caught on to what I was doing. He then started including a morning shower to his routine.

Some hot summer days, I would rinse myself over about 5 times a day just to keep cool. Have not had to do that this year. No summer days over 40 degrees.

At the Reject shop, they sell Rexona for about $4 each. No point paying more. I also get the coconut soaps from the Reject shop, at $1 to $1.50 each.

Kurt Cobain smelled of the female deodorant 'Teen Spirit'.
The rest is history.  Wink

You're back - where were you?

I was in Jamaica for a week.
The Himalayas were decades ago.

Welcome back oh brave one.

One of the things I remember about school was how bad the kids that didn't wash smelt. I also remember some of those 110 deg F days in a metal demountable classroom. You could even smell yourself after the first hour. A room with 30 kids who all stunk almost as bad as the teacher.

I went through primary and then high school and we had ceiling fans to keep us cool during the late summer to late autumn and then early spring to early summer school days. The last year of my high schooling, the administration block had air conditioning for the office area. I think the library was the only place that had air conditioning all throughout my high school years.

A couple of years after graduating, I drove pass my old high school. The entire school had solar panels on the roof. And each classroom had an airconditioner. I felt ripped off. That was until I found out that my parents went to school without at least having the privilege of ceiling fans like I did.

Brut body wash. Stays on your skin for about 48 hours.

The Reject Shop (of all places) were selling Axe Body Wash. I thought that was only sold in North America. I bought two bottles for $4 each -- one of each perfume type. If I end up smelling like an urban American on a desperate blind date, I will let you know.

I gave the body wash a go. I smell "desperate and dateless".
