Who is your favourite boxer Bobby?

Mike Tyson is the most terrifying boxer ever.
Ali was good to watch to see the best boxing skills.
Foreman was a brute who could knock you out with a glancing blow.

I liked them all.

Yes - in his prime - no one could work out a way to beat him,
and he hit hard.

This was one of the biggest boxing fights in history.
This was NOT the ear biting one.

First fight.
Mike Tyson (USA) vs Evander Holyfield (USA) | KNOCKOUT, BOXING fight

Professional american heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson (45–1, 39 KO - pre-fight record)
against skilled and strong undisputed champion at cruiserweight
in the late and at heavyweight Evander Holyfield (32–3, 23 KO - pre-fight record).
Fight took place in MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada, at November 9, 1996.

Tyson couldn't go under and up with an uppercut like against bigger taller opponents. Holyfield was a small heavyweight like him.
Holyfield was allowed to hold behind the head like Ali was allowed often which is against the rules.

Tyson took up Boxing to get away from the crime and his first early era, he was knocking out Don King's boxers left and right.
When Tyson's trainer died. He was alone and foolishly came under Don King who, as an aspect of Crime in Boxing itself, ruined Tyson's future in so many ways.
He got Tyson on drugs and Tyson was coked out against Buster Douglas on roids, who knocked him out easily.
It was Don King who defeated Tyson, more than boxing opponents.

It's the drugs like coke -
it makes people feel invincible -
Mike thought he was so good that he didn't have to train much
and he could just party on day and night.  Roll Eyes

Yep. King derailed him and then threw him in the trash.

Jeff Fenech did the same to Shannon Taylor.
Got him coked up against Shane Mosley and that was the end of Taylor's career.

Now Fenech is trying to exploit Tim Tszyu.
Fenech worked for Don King.

Yeah - check this out -
this is how hard you have to train:

Aug 3, 2025

Evander Holyfield is the only man to beat Mike Tyson twice and it wasn’t luck. It was years of brutal, intelligent, and relentless training that pushed his body and mind to levels few fighters have ever reached.
In this video, we take you deep inside the training routine that transformed Holyfield from an undersized cruiserweight into a four-time heavyweight world champion. This isn’t just another boxing story it’s a rare look at how discipline, faith, and science came together to build one of the most complete fighters in history.

You’ll see how Holyfield’s strength coach, Tim Hallmark, crafted a unique training plan that included Olympic lifting, hill sprints, altitude training, and advanced conditioning years ahead of its time. You’ll also discover how Holyfield trained his mind just as hard as his body focusing on mental toughness, spiritual resilience, and staying calm in the middle of chaos. From sparring wars to recovery techniques, every part of his camp had a purpose.

Whether you're a hardcore boxing fan, a student of training, or someone chasing greatness in your own life Holyfield’s journey has something to teach you. This is the story of how relentless preparation created the one man Tyson couldn’t break.
