To provide an overview of the principles for the use of sedation as one of a range of measures to assist in the safe
administration of COVID-19 vaccines.
This advice is intended to be general in nature, noting that some health services have developed, or are developing,
procedural guidelines for vaccination under sedation for their context. Detailed clinical guidance should be developed
collaboratively with input from anaesthetic groups, jurisdictional health services and relevant specialists.

Background

The process of administering a vaccine (i.e. giving an intramuscular injection) may cause severe anxiety in some
individuals with anxiety disorders or needle-phobia, and/or may be difficult in certain individuals with behavioural disorders.
A tiered approach initially using non-pharmacological measures may assist in facilitating vaccination. In patients where
non-pharmacological techniques have failed, sedation may facilitate safe administration of vaccines in some special
circumstances. Informed consent must be obtained prior to each dose from the patient themselves, or, where the patient
does not have capacity to give consent, from the parent, guardian or substitute decision-maker. Sedation should not be
used as a measure to enforce compliance with vaccination requirements.

And, once again... Sir Nail has a rush of blood to the brain, adds 2 and 2 together and gets 5.

This is why everyone here (well, almost everyone) doesn't take you seriously.

You 'jump' on things like this and immmediately 'twist' them to suit your own antivaxxer/conspiracy nutter beliefs.

You're obviously trying to make us believe people are going to be forcibly sedated and vaccinated when it isn't even remotely true.

Exactly.

But, never let the truth get in the way of a perfectly good conspiracy theory when it comes to Sir Nail and his ilk.

And, I'm also sure he doesn't read the contents of the links he posts most or all of the time. In this particular case he probably didn't bother to read any further than what he's quoted and he obviously didn't even read all of the Background section.

I work on a medical research centre. They said the future is to have customised vaccinations. ie, a blood sample is taken from you, it is tested. Then a vaccination is made to suit YOU. I would do that.

With all the upcoming "involuntary jabs", vaccine blow darts and surveillance drones disguised as birds out there it sounds like the world is a very dangerous place, Sir Nail.

Might be best if you just stay inside forever and turn off all electrical/electronic devices (especially the Internet) just to be on the safe side.
