people can take personal responsibility for whether they wish to go to hospital and possibly catch covid.
Or possibly just die quietly at home instead?
What happens to a person who, for example, is unconscious after a serious car accident?
Are they supposed to carry a signed card with them which says something like "I wish to use personal responsibility and not be taken to hospital in the event I'm unconscious after an accident - just leave me where I am or take me home (see address on other side of card) and let me die in peace"?
I can't believe even you could suggest something like that.
I really need one of these for my computer desk...
https://i.imgur.com/R8La9xi.gif hospitals were designed to deal with car accidents, broken bones and appendicx operations and heart attacks, but thats not what they are being used for now
on my wifes ward at the moment ( a general medical ward) there are 20 patients
most are morbidly obese and incontinent and cannot be looked after by their relatives.
they are 'awaiting placement" in nursing homes , but they dont want to go to nursing homes, so they go home for a week and then the family call an ambulance and they roll back up to casualty.
many have diabetes and infected leg ulcers
in hospital they are given extremely expensive , last line of defence , piptazipine and it doesnt work because they have demolished their health already.
they spread their resitant germs through cas and the hospital and nurses spend hours putting on ppe to try to do their dressings.
and for lunch they are given chips and ice cream and cake and biscuits for morning and afternoon tea becasue it is deemed discriminatory to not offer a diet they "like"
as a result your good doctors and nurses are abndoning public hospitals in droves.
the state health department then scour the world and import contracted doctors from pakistan to fill the gaps.
many have zero understanding of the australian health system or the australian disease burden.
public hospitals are now , probably doing as much harm as good and are really turning into nursing homes but with all the added technology and expense.
there is only one solution.
people need to take personal responsibility for their health from a young age and eat good food, exercise and stay away .
this, of course, will never happen
enjoy your ambulance ramping and blown out waiting lists
