Profits over people.

The virus is just killing old people and sick people now - people on the pension and people using up free Medicare services.

As harsh as it sounds, the government is happy for them to die.

Seems that way, Greg.

It is that way.

It's incredibly sad, but it's also true.

People like my mother - in their 80s, frail, sick, on the pension - contribute very little to the economy.

All they do is take from the government.

They pay no income tax, inject next to nothing back into the economy, and use up free resources provided by Medicare.

If a virus comes along that wipes them out, that's just a bonus for the government.

I have no pleasure in saying this, but it's true: the government machine (not so much the individuals) is happy with the way COVID is wiping out the weak and elderly now.

Less pensions to pay, less home care packages to distribute, and less free medical services to provide.

True.

There cannot be any other explanation for things like the removal of compulsory masks in healthcare settings, especially hospitals. And public transport which a lot of elderly people rely on.

And, I'm sure the Prime Minister isn't too far away from his third "interaction" with Covid.

A lot of people are commenting on how much older he looks now after his first 2 "interactions".

Even with his presumed 'instant' access to antivirals and other treatments the rest of us can't easily obtain.

The antivirals might not save him for much longer.

Infectious diseases experts are warning that almost all available antiviral medications are increasingly ineffective against the “soup” of Omicron descendants now circulating in Australia.

‘We need new antivirals’: Australia’s ‘Omicron soup’ is blunting our best COVID treatments

Not to mention the lack of up to date vaccines and being able to have them (5th dose - 3rd booster) even if they were available.

Report 52: Nine Months Post-COVID mRNA “Vaccine” Rollout, Substantial Birth Rate Drops in 13 European Countries, England/Wales, Australia, and Taiwan.
January 16, 2023 • by Robert W. Chandler, MD, MBA
Robert W. Chandler, MD, completed extensive research to write the article below. Some of the highlights of this important piece include:

Nine months following the rollout of the COVID-19 mRNA “vaccines,” substantial birth rate drops were seen in 13 of 19 European countries, England and Wales (one entity based on how data is published), Australia, and Taiwan.
The decline in births in Switzerland was the largest in 150 years – more than during two World Wars, the Great Depression, and the advent of widely available birth control.
There was an 8.3% drop in the birth rate in Germany through three quarters of 2022.
England and Wales had a 12% birth rate drop through June 2022, which is when their government stopped publishing data related to this.
Taiwan reported an alarming birth rate drop, but its data are incomplete.
Australian birth rates fell 21% from October to November 2021, followed by a 63% decrease from November to December 2021.
On August 25, 2022, the Swiss Hagemann group published a statement regarding the decline of live births in Europe: “My analysis puts the monthly birth figures in relation to the average of the last three years. In advance it should be noted that every single examined European country shows a monthly decline in birth rates of up to more than 10% compared to the last three years. I can be shown that this very alarming signal cannot be explained by infections with Covid-19. However, one can establish a clear temporal correlation to Covid vaccinations incidence in the age group of men and women between 18 and 49 years. Therefore, in-depth statistical and medical analyses have to be demanded.” [https://www.initiative-corona.info/fileadmin/dokumente/Geburtenrueckgang-Europe-EN.pdf

On the ABC's The 7.30 Report last night.

VIDEO: Is the current public health strategy for dealing with COVID working?

Quote:
COVID-19 continues to run rampant, making a lot of Australians sick and killing many, even if we don't seem to be talking about it publicly as much.

Joining Laura Tingle in the studio to discuss the nation's latest COVID strategy are Professor Brendan Crabb from Melbourne's Burnet Institute, frontline doctor Nada Hamad, and economist Richard Denniss from The Australia Institute.

I believe Anna sums up what a lot of people are feeling after watching that. Scroll down and read the replies.

Laura Tingle truly is a national treasure.

Laura is the only one not scared to report the truth!

She is unbiased and always searching for the truth..

Legend.

So Laura Tingle wants to discuss the country's latest covid strategy

Good.for.her

Please inform Laura that The vaccines do not prevent you catching the disease
Do not prevent you spreading the disease
And that as such the only sensible strategy applicable to covid-19

Is one of personal responsibility

I know it's hard for lefty journalists to accept that some things cannot be fixed by running off to an authority figure

But in the case of covid-19
Our politicians and chief health officers have gone radio silent
Purely because they have nothing to offer

This is excellent news
The superior man always knew that his health was his own responsibility

Grin Grin Grin

déjà vu. Again.

Yes, we've seen how well this "personal responsibilty" works, haven't we?

I see it every time I go shopping - only about 5% of people wearing masks and maskless people coughing and sneezing, some not even bothering to cover their mouths while they're doing it.

But, what more can one expect from a population the majority of whom seem to believe Covid is "just a cold" and the pandemic is over which is due to an almost total lack of information given by our governments and health departments.

Perhaps we might see a bit more "personal responsibility" if something like this was shown on TV every night?

That'll be the day.

Just because a person coughs or sneezes, doesn't mean they are infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Right? Looks like all the fear-mongering is working!

I think personal responsibility would have worked a lot better than the childish knee-jerk immature solutions by our leaders. Solutions that were impossible to monitor, enforce, or even manage. This was a manufactured viral apocalypse, legitimized by fear, omissions, repetition, coercion, lies and force. These mandates and restrictions were doomed from the start. No rational-thinking person is going to allow anyone to take control over the most private aspects of their lives, INDEFINITELY! People will eventually rebel, and start airing their grievances publicly. Only the impractical mind of a child would;

expect people to keep 2 meters away from each other at all times. Especially, in shopping malls, buildings, outdoors, sporting events,  churches, funerals and weddings, beaches and parks, etc. Insane!

expect people to wear stuffy, useless, and uncomfortable masks indefinitely. In buildings, outdoors, at beaches and parks, Kindergartens, and even in cars and buses. But NOT at gyms, swimming pools, or eating in restaurants(go figure.). Insane!

expect people to continue taking vaccines and boosters indefinitely.

force and coerce people to keep taking vaccines, if they want to continue working in selected work industries. Jab or job! Or, to hold our individual liberties to ransom, provided that the population reaches a targeted percentage of vaccinations. Insane!

destroy the business dreams of Australians, and create a very serious food, job, and petrol crisis, that still continues hurting the average Australian family every day. Insane!

Our leaders have done more harm in the name of good, to destroy the hopes, dreams, and happiness of all Australians, than any virus ever could. Especially, a virus no more lethal than the measles or hepatitis A.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_human_disease_case_fatality_rates

This insanity had to stop. Rational people were beginning to realize, that man vs virus, will always be a lose-lose situation. Even if everyone were fully vaccinated, the only thing that would change is who to blame for its failures.

The average age of deaths from/with Covid-19 in Australia, is 85yo(with multiple comorbidities). At this age, I doubt that Covid-19 was the only cause of death, listed on the death certificate.

that picture is 100 % wrong.

the elites are scared to death of people taking "personal responsibility" because such people cannot be told what to do and be treated as batteries in the mattrix.

the elites want people to be  cut off from loved ones  as in lockdowns (ie isolated)
scared they will die from touching an amazon package (ie hyper anxious)
subjected to mandates such that they comply or else (ie obedient)

the elites are very afraid of the personally responsible person
the elites take delight in the isolated anxious obedient person.

people like carl are the elites 'wet dream"
you are behaving like a chinese citizen and seeing obedience as a virtue.

please wake up

Personal responsibility, eh?

Do you mean locking oneself away to not catch covid?

Locking others away?

Or forcing oneself to not die and refusing to submit to long covid?

Please explain?

i mean understanding that you are responsible for your lifestyle choices which cause the vast majority of co-morbidities.
you have had 2 1/2 years to work on your nutrition, wieght and cardiac fitness
you need to "get after it"
if you are old, you are responsible for coming to terms with your fast approaching demise and you need to be comfortable with that.

any other questions?
