I guarantee the demand is coming from vaccine injuries and adverse reactions. Sad

So, it definitely isn't the vaccines then?

Just a heads up before the weekly Australian Covid numbers are released tomorrow.

Victoria (the only State still providing daily numbers) has reported 60 Covid deaths in the past 3 days.

But, that's perfectly normal, right?

60? -  we're doomed.

I hope not, Bobby.

Meanwhile, this is the shortest, most accurate description I've found so far regarding Australia's response to the pandemic.

Are we that lazy that we pinned all our hope on a vaccine and gave up when they turned out not to be a silver bullet?

That's it exactly.

Oh, add "selfish" and "greedy" too.

Mum and Dad have recently recovered from covid. That leaves only my brother and I as the only two family members who have not tested positive for the disease in the last two (nearly three) years. I could well have had the illness and not known. But, I suppose I won't chalk up a coronavirus experience until I have been diagnosed as having had it.

This isn't looking too good.

133
deaths already just for NSW and Victoria. That's just one short of the total deaths reported for Australia last week.

https://covidlive.com.au/

Cases and hospitalisations still going up as well.

Other States still to report.

And, unless the Vaccinations section of Covid Live hasn't been updated yet it still looks like no one is bothering to get up to date with their vaccinations anymore.

Well, the pandemic is supposed to be over, right?  Roll Eyes

217
Covid deaths recorded this week.

https://covidlive.com.au/

111,452 (reported) new cases. Hospitalisations and ICU numbers up again.

28
deaths for WA. (Mark McGowan's Twitter intern reports 26 deaths but whichever one is right it is still bad).

Will there be a tipping point where the pollies (who shouldn't be dictating health "advice" anyway, especially during pandemics) decide it's time to do something about this carnage and at the very least bring back mandatory masks on planes, public transport and healthcare settings?

Even if it's after Christmas (because I'm certain they won't do anything before then) it will be better than nothing (which is what they're doing right now).

Nope, sadly it doesn't look like it.

This BS came from National Cabinet today:

https://federation.gov.au/sites/default/files/media/2022-12/strategic-framework-...

Quote:
The crisis phase has passed and the risks of widespread COVID-19 deaths, overwhelming health
system capacity and a significant economic shock from COVID-19 have subsided. This changing risk
landscape allows us to recalibrate focus back towards sound decision making processes to ensure the
continuing COVID-19 response is evidence based, fiscally responsible, consistent and proportionate.

They're still living in a different reality to the rest of us, apparently.

"fiscally responsible" says it all.  Roll Eyes

Meanwhile, back in the real world...

Melbourne is being warned to brace for hospital trouble this weekend.

And not just Melbourne, I'm sure.
