OK, then... we'll just have to agree to differ, Shellshilo.
Anyway... moving right along...
How it started:
Wow, in one fell swoop you just avoided and dismissed every point I've raised, and ignored every question I've asked. I really thought that the purpose of any debate, was to find the truth from the convergence of facts. And, NOT more parroted editorials from your special echo chamber.
I'm confused about the Australians Against Covid. Are they being prevented from wearing masks, distancing themselves, vaccinating themselves, or even isolating themselves? What exactly are their concerns? Don't they believe that vaccines, masks, handwashing, and distancing, will protect them from this virus?
What exactly do they expect the Government to do against a virus? Clearly, all of the government's mandates have done more harm to the Australian society, than any virus could ever do. At least the prochoice marchers had a valid reason for their protest. Their medical decision-making rights were taken away from them.
They were being FORCED/COERCED to comply with all government protocols, OR ELSE(loss of their freedoms, jobs, and their individuality)! Give any government the power to control the lives of the populace, and you'll just open the door for even more intrusive abuses.

Yes, the media SHOULD be reporting the covid deaths.
I thought the media
WAS reporting the daily Covid-19 deaths, and the number of Covid cases! Why aren't the media reporting the deaths, that are directly related to idiotic lifestyle choices(smoking, drinking, drugs, and overeating)? Why is a disease with a less than a 1% mortality rate(in Australia), deserving of this level of attention?

Am going out to a birthday dinner tonight. Invited 9 people. One of the invitees son tested positive to covid on wednesday.
She was STILL going to come AND bring him too !!!!!!!!!!
As long as he is not symptomatic or is wearing a mask, he's of no threat to your health. Also, you can always wear a mask, be vaccinated, and keep your distance from him to be safe, right?

I was reading an interesting discussion somewhere a few days back where it was theorized that if eveyone in the world wore a mask for just 2 weeks then SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) could be finally eliminated or almost eliminated.
But, it require every single person on the planet to wear a mask at all times when outside their homes and the chances of that happening are... well... nil.
Since we couldn't get everyone in Australia to wear a mask, there's not much hope for the rest of the world doing any better. Also, are you implying that the SARS-CoV-2 virus, doesn't exist indoors? It's ironic that direct exposure to the OUTDOOR sun can actually destroy this virus. And, that almost all documented transmissions of this virus have occurred INDOORS. So, what do we do? We drive people indoors with poor ventilation, where the virus can thrive, and then tell them to take their masks off. Go figure!
Again, masks do not vacuum seal themselves over your face. There are gaps along the sides of the masks for the virus to enter. The virus can also enter through your eyes(nasolacrimal ducts). You would also need a mask that is 99.9999% effective to prevent this virus from infecting you. No such mask exists. And, when you remove your mask when indoors(or when eating and drinking), what do you think the virus is doing then?

Waiting for you to put your mask back on??
At the end of the day, there is NOTHING that man can do that will reduce, or prevent anyone from being infected by this virus. How do you eradicate a microorganism that isn't even alive? Smallpox is the only virus thought to be eradicated. But, the smallpox virus is a virus specific to humans only. The SARS-CoV-2 virus is a Zoonotic virus.
So, unless you're planning on killing all the animal reservoirs(host) for this virus(dogs, cats, bats, ferrets, hamsters, deer, mice, non-human primates, Guiney pigs, etc.), eradication is just an irrational and impossible dream.
Anyway, just my two cents worth.
