These are the guys who wanted to invade Ukraine on the assumption it would be a pushover. So proud of the great Soviet Federated communist Putin Russian military (anything you want to call it) they couldn't believe an actual war might show them for the dunces that they are. Now they are openly criticizing the military (while they stay home.)
So, after two months, nothing in a war, Russians are seeing their own stupidity handed to them, right there on state TV. That means Putin lied to them, and they know it. Their anger is their fear.

When I get through my book on "The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin", I will give you my impression of whether Putin requires sympathy. Unless there is something astronomically amazing about Mr Putin to justify his recent inexcusable military invasion of Ukraine, he is considered scum.

Enjoy hiding in Colorado away from Russian reach.

A brief moment of Russian history may have embraced liberal democracy and pluralism happened with the fall of the Soviet Union. With no clear political direction, Putin took advantage using the power of the new oligarchs in turn for favours in looting national resources. His appeal to patriotism, the use of lies about the intention of the West, and the imprisonment and exile of populations are his typical fascist techniques.

Internationally, Putin's actions are condoned by two types of governments. 1. Those who rely on Russian equipment. 2. Those run by autocrats, thugs or military dictators.
