The percentage of Russians who trust Russian President Vladimir Putin rose to 81.6 percent from 67.2 percent before ordering troops to enter Ukraine on February 24.
78.9 percent of respondents in the latest poll said they approved of Putin's actions, compared to 64.3 percent in a poll conducted before the start of special military operations in Ukraine.

Whatever the real state of affairs, feeling for the war will plummet if putin tries to start mass conscription etc etc, the only way he can win the war.

By July I estimate the main Ukrainian counteroffensive with the new, heavy weapons provided by other free countries to Ukraine will push russian forces out of all of Ukraine.

Kerch bridge will be gone, water to Crimea denied again—disaster for russian forces in Crimea.

Some facts that even Russian analysts have accepted.

- Troop numbers need to be at least 800,000; with minimal resistance from Ukraine.
- Troops need to be experienced, professional soldiers.
- Troops need to be supplied with modern equipment.

The facts on the ground.

- Ukraine is putting up maximal resistance.
- Russia does not have 800,000 experienced troops - conscripts don't count and will be cannon fodder.
- Russia is not supplying its troops with modern equipment.

Breaking news

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk stated that all women, children and elderly civilians captured in the Azovstal complex in Mariupol were released and evacuated.
Russian forces have stopped the attack on the factory in order to enable civilians to escape, from the Ukrainian militants who are holding them hostage. The statement does not
state what the militants got in return for allowing the release of civilians.
