What does consensus mean in a nation of 1.4 billion without the right to vote, express a dissenting opinion, no media free to report the wrongdoings of the ruling elite?
Consensus starts at the local level with administrative groups discussing local needs, and people chosen by consent to move up the ranks of the governing party.
No elections needed. There is constant feed-back between the local and national levels of government.
Quote:Your concept of consensus is your delusion.
It's not a delusion, consensus is simply an alternative means (to elections) to select government administrators.
Quote:Consensus in China means whatever the CCP says it means.
Wrong, as explained above.
in any case, government by one-party consensus has advantages and disadvantages compared to election of officials in an adversarial 2-party system.

Your delusion is that government can only be legitimate if individuals can change the government at regular intervals.
Which is based on another delusion that individuals have 'natural sovereign inherent rights'.
