Yes, Jixian Wang is an example of what the ethnic Chinese character could be; the character demonstrated by Hong Kong protesters and the Taiwanese.

Well people everywhere disagree with one-another; the CCP is dealing with this reality on its way to creating a prosperous socialist state. The example of the US Capitol riot - fully 30 years after the Tiananmen Square massacre -  only confirms for the CCP  the correctness of their chosen path to achieve the nation's common prosperity.

Quote:
When Wang was interviewed he was asked if he was exiled from China, he remarked, 'No, of course not. I could fly back to China today then straight from the airport to jail for life.'

When asked if that bothered him, he replied, 'Of course nobody wants to go to jail, but compared to betraying my Ukrainian friends who would risk their life for me, what is jail compared to my dishonouring them by my betrayal?'

Couched in blatantly  ideological terms.  Someone  who has his own reasons for reporting on war in another country, reasons which are undoubtedly anti Chinese government, should not expect to be able to return to  foment revolution at home.

The CCP has little to no interest in the general welfare of the Chinese people; it's apparatchiks have only one interest: power and how to retain it.

Internally, the CCP is riven by factions, the Xi gang, the Jiang gang (AKA the Shanghai gang) and the Hu's youth league &etc.

The lockdowns imposed by the Xi gang have little to nothing to do with eradicating covid in China, but (a) a face-saving exercise for Xi (given he has staked his political reputation on zero-covid) and (b) the implementation of a Mao-style purge across China with the aim of Xi becoming a Mao 2.0 (even to the point of publishing his own Mao-style 'little red book').

Power drives the CCP; not concern for the welfare of the Chinese people.

The real loser in the war?  The Ukrainian civilians as usual.

What you will see with Ukraine as part of Europe will be a massive improvement of living standards and confidence that the people will be protected from future Russian threats of invasion.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are in a panic. Many fighters send messages to families in the form of "everything is lost"

It is very interesting to see how the heartless Ango-Khazarians show a false affection for the Ukrainians by sending them huge quantities of weapons and pretending to be ready to fight against the Russians. Of course, they are ready to endlessly continue the war to the last Ukrainian in favor of their criminal colonial goals. In fact, they are infinitely happy that the Slavs are killing each other, hoping that this would finally enable the barbaric Anglo brotherhood to conquer weakened Russia.

The situation is almost surreal, like Salvador Dali. Here you have a country that put the first man into space, was smart enough to back down in the Cuban crisis, but is now threatening to use nuclear weapons against its neighbours, who just happen to be up wind. Now, to give Putin the benefit of the doubt, there are two possibilities:

1 The Western world really does want to invade Russia and doesn't really care about the prosperity it has built since WW2, and Putin is making a heroic stand against Nazis.

2. Putin created a permanent presidency held in place by secret police ad government corruption that created a cabal of fabuously wealthy men who are free to loot Russia while living on the Riviera or in London and Paris. To divert Russian public attention, Putin creates fiction that the West wants to invade Russia, allowing him to invade Ukraine and put his old buddy back in power.

Sheer ideological nonsense; common prosperity is THE goal of the CCP, unlike Western elites who have designed chronic, evasive, generational poverty into the very economic system itself.

And the adversarial multi-party system with its party factions is....

More ideological nonsense, 'zero covid' is a life saving exercise which may or may not be more effective than other 'living with covid' policies, but to claim zero covid exists as an excuse to exercise power is nonsense.
( btw, apparently covid deaths in Oz are currently 10 times normal flu season deaths, it ain't over yet).

Mine wasn't an ideological statement; just a statement of brutal fact. Ask any survivor of eastern European communism.

The CCP is an exact replica of the Soviet apparatus.

A system whereby the people's representatives can be held to account by the people and a free, independent media.

Under the CCP, it's illegal for the people or journalists to publicly criticise its evil; under the CCP laws of 'spreading rumours' or 'causing arguments'.

Welcome to Stalinism.

Again, mine are not statements of ideology.

The CCP's actions mirror Soviet communism and its inbred monster-child: Maoism.

As with its predecessors, the CCP is blaming foreign forces for the catastrophic mess it has created for itself and the Chinese people.

As with Stalin and Mao: a single death is a tragedy, a million; a statistic.

The CCP will fight for its preservation of power down to the last Chinese civilian.

Since the West has lost all moral credibility, every moral judgment they want to make leads to hypocrisy.
