Time to outlaw "legal" war?

And so it goes...

Ukraine's concessions:

No NATO
No Nukes
Acceptance of the loss of Crimea
Negotiations over ceding Donbas to Russia.

Russia is going to want more of eastern Ukraine, but its annexation, in some form, into Russia is likely certain.

On the Russian side, it appears Putin's situation is eerily like that of Hitler's in early 1945. Both Hitler's and Putin's respective high commands are reporting only what the leader wants to hear. In Putin's case this is a likely a signal that he will be deposed before the seniors of his high command tell him the truth.

Well! What a difference 3 days make!

Ukraine may just hold out on acknowledging the annexation of Crimea.

And if that's true, I'd bet they're going to hold out on Russia annexing the east.

Ukrainian resistance over the last 5 weeks has hardened to more than steeled, it's titanium!

No, I stand for an ICJ  ruling on the matter.

But given the current absence of international law, I agree with the CCP's stance, since Taiwan is only a proxy for maintaining illegal US global hegemony, right in China's backyard, and the dispute is entirley ideological, NOT racial,  religious,  cultural, or linguistic  (as in Ukraine).

Yes, of course, no war unless it's your war.

Took a while for your handlers to instruct you with the semantic gymnastics you needed to try to get you out of your little slip o' the tongue!

1. I said I want international law - which doesn't exist, partly owing to your delusional 'sovereign individual rights' ideology.

2. The Taiwan "One China" dispute is entirely ideological, NOT racial,  religious,  cultural, or linguistic  (as in Ukraine).

That's why an ICJ would rule in the CCP's favour: One China cannot be torn apart by ideology.

No slip of the tongue, I'm educating "my handlers" (if they don't already know)  as well as you.

And you'd support the CCP killing Taiwanese and burning Taiwan down to achieve its objective.

I'd say the Taiwanese have their own version of 'Slava Ukraini' by now.

So, war when it suits you.

If you are not capable of reading and comprehending a post (in this case, #335), I can't help you.

1.  international law means no war.

2. the Ukraine is a different language to Russian, so your Slava Ukraini' remark is invalid.

Law requires the power to enforce it. A law that cannot or will not be enforced isn't law, making war always a possibility as a last resort.

Ukrainian and Russian are almost identical and closer than dialects in China. Much closer than, say, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Should Southern Chinese Cantonese speakers separate from the rest of China?

So, should they? Should Southern Chinese Cantonese speakers separate from the rest of China?

Should Mongolian- and Tibetan-speaking lands separate from China?

Huge story:

Executions in the street.

I heard this story on ABC -
this is the only evidence I could find so far.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-60967463

Anatoly Fedoruk, told AFP by phone that all
of the 20 dead had been shot in the back of the head.

Sixteen of the 20 bodies seen by AFP lay either on the pavement or by the verge. Three were sprawled in the middle of the road, and another lay on his side in the courtyard of a destroyed house.

An open Ukrainian passport lay on the ground next to the person who had his hands tied behind his back with a piece of white cloth. Two other people had white cloth tied around their upper arms.

A Ukrainian official told AFP the dead men could have been killed in a bombardment or shot by Russian soldiers, and police would investigate.

But the town's mayor, Anatoly Fedoruk, told AFP by phone that all of the 20 dead had been shot in the back of the head. He added that other bodies still lay inside the wrecks of cars destroyed by shelling.

The town, he said, had buried 280 people in mass graves as a result of the Russian invasion.

You are merely arguing against establishment of international law, necessary to prevent war as a means of dispute settlement between nations.

The current "rules of war" regime is a sop to your delusional freedom ideology.

Hence you acquiesce in the current murderous chaos, owing to your delusional "freedom" /"sovereign individual rights"  ideology.

Nonsense, the losers of the the 1949 civil war were the same nationality and language groups as the winners of that war, whereas Ukrainians are at pains to highlight their cultural and linguistic difference with Russians (language being one of the points of dispute).

No....nice try but no cigar, an international lawyer  would soon put you straight.

So, according to you, foreign-speaking usurpers can claim land linguistically separate from them so long as the usurper is the CCP.

Has the CCP got its eye on Singapore because there are a lot of Han Chinese Mandarin / Cantonese speakers in Singapore?

The CCP is suppressing Mongolian and Tibetan in Inner Mongolia and Tibet respectively. Wonder why??!!

According to you, the CCP can invade Taiwan because the Taiwanese speak Mandarin or Cantonese.

Here's how it works. If an aggressive regime invades another country for whatever reason, the subjugated will always claim the right to defend themselves against and expel the invaders if they can. Nothing will change that.

Taiwan is Taiwan - it stands independent and has nothing to do with US hegemony..... you, sir, are a liar.

We are willing for CCP China to lead the way in declaring itself an 'open country' totally governed by international law rather than by its own personal sovereignty and internal laws, and to see CCP China not intervene or argue the point when an international force comes in to stop persecution of minorities ......... we'll wait and see how it turns out for you, but trust me - we're right behind you.

.............promise .....
