I think the soft end of the war may be in sight.   Over the past months or so, the Russians and Ukrainians have traded blows.   Now, the dust began to settle.   I maintain my prediction of a divided East and West Ukraine.  With East Ukraine loyal to Russia, creating a security buffer zone for the Russians.   The whole war is about where the border get to draw between these two states.

If history is to repeat itself.  I think there will be cease fire, a DMZ, and both East and West Ukraine would claim that one day they want to once again unify Ukraine under their rule.    Another Korean situation.

This is just the latest in many similar proxy wars fought between the West and Russia.

Putin went for the whole of Ukraine believing pro-Russian sympathies to be the predominant mood of Ukrainians.

He was wrong.

So he's focussing on what he's sure he can keep - eastern Ukraine.

And neither the EU nor NATO nor anyone else in the region (including even the west Ukrainians) have any illusions about eastern Ukraine. Its people are culturally and linguistically Russian.

I don't believe eastern Ukraine will become an independent nation. It will be annexed by and subsumed into Russia, with the support of the pro-Russian populace, as Austria was by Nazi Germany. However, there will be no decoupling from Russia, like there was with Austria from Germany.

The union will be permanent.

Putin is in the process of ethnically cleansing the east of pro-Ukrainian people by genocide and a complete obliteration of its cities and towns such that, when this ends, they will be rebuilt by Russians and pro-Russians; being populated by Russians and pro-Russians.

Probably correct, except for the first bit. I don't believe Putin cared what the predominant mood of Ukraines was. He believed his tanks would repeat their success of earlier wars, and deliver the territory to him. After which he would install a puppet in Kyiv.

It's possible that Putin was unaware of the poor state of the Russian military; its having been debilitated by decades of corruption.

However, he would still have needed at least twice as many troops as were deployed to successfully hold ground gained if he factored minimal resistance from the subjugated.

He clearly expected next to no resistance; maybe even a popular uprising in Russia's favour.

However, the Russian military were met with maximal resistance, for which Putin would have needed closer to one million troops rather than less than 200,000.

What a surprise!

After being addicted to catastrophic mistakes (for which it demands to be be forgiven from the end of a gun), the second thing the CCP excels at is denial. No Tiananmen Square massacre, no covid from Wuhan, no Uighur genocide, no hostage-taking to swap for Huawei executives, no Peng Shuai rape, no widespread covid...

And no link showing China asked for a delayed invasion of Ukraine, just as I thought.

No possible linking to CCP admission to anything. Just another one of the endless catastrophic CCP mistakes which are illegal for the Chinese to mention.

Like Putin's Russia - Don't mention the war.

Or in the CCP's case: Don't mention the murder of millions, the cultural genocide, Uighur genocides, hostage taking, rapes, disappearings, murders, covid origin, poverty...

When a regime like the CCP constantly lies and uses lethal force to deter investigation into allegations, it is acceptable to assume any of its denials of wrongdoing are lies.

Fallacy of composition; and a link to "lethal force to deter investigations" if you will.

More likely in the same league as the Witness K prosecution.

All criticism of CCP wrongdoing is illegal.

All references to it on all media is removed when reported / discovered and the poster is reported as having breached CCP law.

As all CCP denials cannot be challenged, therefore it is acceptable to consider all CCP denials as lies.

The whole free world hopes that Russia will oppose the Globalist Nazis, which would
finally save the whole normal humanity from Anglo-Khazarian fascist enslavement.

The free world hopes putin will die soon and then russia will crumble into ruin. Dreadful demographics for russia, the entrepreneur class has left russia so not much hope there. Hopefully it can be arranged to have russia’s nuclear weapons given to the free world to turn into fuel for nuclear power stations.

A world without the basilisk stare of russia, nice!

And after that, the Anglo-Khazarian Nazis will finally be able to impose their fascist rules on the remained of the world's 500 million population.

putin and athos—nazis. One invades, targets civil infrastructure, does ethnic cleansing, looking for lebensraum in Ukraine. The other tries to pretend putin is not a nazi.

Western will for power and expansionism supported by unlimited hypocrisy will never end. You have to understand that the hypocritical western elite declared a war on Russia. The whole free world hopes that Russia will oppose the Globalists, which would finally save the whole normal humanity from Anglo-Khazarian fascist enslavement. Western crocodile tears for Ukraine and unprecedented irrational hatred towards the Russian people are not motivated by empathy but by the mourning that their plan to conquer Russia and the whole world has been ruined. We must not forget that the conquest colonial doctrine of Great Britain was based on the basic assumption of the superiority of the Anglo-Saxon race. Today, racial superiority has been replaced by the superiority of Western quasi-democracy. The irony is that Britain and its colonies, like Canada or Australia, have never had a democratically elected head of state, or even citizens, but "Subjects of Her Majesty". Russian people should just ignore those malignant comments of hatred by brainwashed zombies. Whatever the Russians do and say, the Anglo-Brotherhood and the rest of malicious West will fear and hate Russians because of their ignorance, arrogance and inferiority complex that they feel towards Russians. When they understand Dostoevsky, then they will understand Russia as well. Of course, it's beyond their comprehension just as it is impossible for cockroaches to understand calculus. Only enslaved Russia can make those evil reptilians happy.
