After the line 1 results, the usual 3rd Eckhart line seemed more promising than the usual 2nd, so I used the usual 3rd at 2. Given my background, solution was obvious. People like Monk would read that first and use it to cheat. Embarrassed

I avoid coming here prior to doing the puzzle because of those who type clues.

I think it would be best to stop showing their attempts in case someone inadvertently spots them which would spoil the challenge of doing the puzzle.

Yesterday, I did my usual "Alien" but did not go with "pouty" and went for the solution in line 2 rather than wasting a try on pouty.

I can't remember what word I went with in line 2 yesterday, but I know it wasn't pouty.

Perhaps "Baker" was more likely for me to guess because I am a fan the The Great British Bake-off. Who knows?

I got lucky with line 3. It happens.

I don't need you making offensive suggestions of cheating.

Go take a long walk off a short pier.
