One severe year amid 'near normal years' can certainly reduce living standards in poor farming communities.

In this thread, 'climate' means AGW emergency. Of course to deniers like yourself 'climate' means naturally occurring changes. The emergencies - whether from poverty or climate disasters, or conflict - is what we have to deal with in a preferably intelligent, inclusive manner. That's why the UN was created, now we have to make it work).

But now they can do GW back to the 1700's when there wasn't even ONE data point in the entire Southern Hemisphere. Only one in the 1850's. It is impossible to infer a global temperature when you have only half the globe. Wink

Oh please can't you come up with a new one? I have now it is 99%...apparently. Even the 97% figure is fudged.

However looking at the paper shows the lie.

892 papers out of 2718 papers gave either explicit or implicit approval of AGW. That makes it 32.8% not the 99% as claimed. To do that they took only those papers that explicitly disagreed and also used the 2104 papers that took no position and made them a proxy for implicit endorsement.

In fact only 19 papers explicitly endorsed AGW with quantification. So the quantification could be 0.1% to 100% Just too funny.

Sorry you seem confused. BoM is the Australian entity. MetOffice UK is the UK version. And it is still 2 days years apart. Heatrhrow Airport didn't exist 100 years ago. Roll Eyes

Actually, nuclear is seeing a revival in the US and Germany, and elsewhere.
