What are the reasons Americans Carry Guns?

Is America really such an unsafe place?

Maybe a short story will illustrate the point in a way that’s easy to understand.

The Stupidest Criminals

A couple guys decided to hold up the occupants of a small bar. Unbeknownst to the criminals, this was a bar whose main clientele was off-duty cops. When the criminals burst into the bar, waiving their guns around, they were immediately killed because the patrons of the bar were all armed, off-duty cops.

“Stupid Criminals” indeed.

It was really more about their ignorance than their stupidity in my opinion.

However, what if every place was like that cop bar, where only an idiot would try to commit a violent crime, because “everybody knows” that everyone in that place is likely to be armed with a gun?

What if every place is like that cop bar?

When a high percentage of normal people are carrying guns, and everybody knows it, violent criminals have to be suicidal to try anything in that place.

In most of the places where a high percentage of Americans carry guns, it isn’t a response to danger or because of fear.

It’s “preventative maintenance.”

It’s like changing the oil in your car.

You don’t change the oil because the car broke down.

You change the oil to keep the car from breaking down.

We Americans carry guns to keep the crime we see in certain other parts of our country (and other countries as well) from happening where we live.....

The answer in America is More Guns, Less Crime.....a proven FACT.......period
