Soon we'll have aqua complaining that no-one's turning up at the farm to buy his two dollar bags of horse manure because the majority of people are staying home for fear of catching Covid or they're actually sick with it and they're in hospital or isolation.

Meanwhile, we still have to put up with him trying to sell his "manure" here every day. We're not buying it, by the way.

Myself and the Noble Premier of New South Wales are on the same page

We are learning to live with coved voluntarily

You shall also have to learn to live with covid Carl

You can't outrun your destiny

Embrace it while it is a mild cold like illness

And develop a strong robust immune response

Or wait until it mutates into something deadly and devastates western Australia as the eastern states kick back with a beer

The Australian NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) culture is alive and well, I see.

Vital Covid testing clinic in one of Australia's most exclusive postcodes is SHUT DOWN after wealthy neighbours complained about traffic

Quote:
A busy Covid-19 testing clinic in Sydney's ritzy suburb of Mosman has been shut down after residents complained of 'excessive traffic' and potential exposure to the virus.

The Mosman Council confirmed the testing site on Melrose Street would be closed from Thursday.

'Following significant public safety concerns due to excessive traffic, parking and access issues, a decision has been made that the drive-through COVID-19 testing clinic in Melrose Street will be closed after today,' the council said in a statement.

'Council is working with clinic operator Douglass Hanly Moir (DHM) to identify an alternative location for the testing clinic.'

Yep, just keep caving in to these wealthy, self entitled idiots and they'll just get worse.

Quote:
Some residents had written to the DHM to say they were being 'exposed to the risk of Covid infection' when they had to ask potentially Covid-positive drivers to move their cars, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Others complained about cars travelling the wrong way through a roundabout, while some were concerned about unmasked drivers getting out of their vehicles while waiting to be tested.

Yep, nothing better to do than peek through their curtains all day looking for something to complain to the local council about.

When I was unemployed for a time in the mid 80's I did a 6 month 'stint' with South Perth Council starting mid 1987 in one of those government funded jobs (called CEP - Commonwealth Employment Project from memory) building limestone walls and cycle paths, etc. at Sir James Mitchell Park on the South Perth foreshore.

One of the first things we were told after we started was to make sure we looked busy all the time otherwise the wealthy people in the apartments overlooking the park will be on the phone complaining to the Council.

Obviously nothing much has changed in the 34 years since.  Roll Eyes

stats are misleading bobby.

obviously as omicron surges thru the community we are going to have 10's to 100's opf 1000's of people with it.

some of them might get an appendix attack or a foot ball injury or need a cataract done.

since hospitals test every occupant for covid, we are going to get rising numbers in hospital with covid who are there for other reasons and it was just picked up.

they may have a runny nose or a mild headache.

no biggie.

best we stopped testing

its an incredible waste of resources and what does it prove?

NSW has reached that stage again where Rural LGAs are nearly free of Covid and the only way it could spread out here is if contaminated Sydney bods bring it out here with them

Diverse multicultural Sydney is a curse on itself and the rest of the State

Who is going to stand in line for hours anyway?
Not many people - most will just get on with their day.

nearly 300,000 tests a day.
average wait, over an hour,
most people probably drive to the testing centre. (an environmental insult)
and then you cant work til you get your result.

all for omicron which is more like a cold then a pneumonia.

insanity from a health point of view.
300,000 tests a day on bowel, prostate or breast cancer would save way more lives

insanity from a cost point of view
300,000 x 80 a test is a big chunk of health spending

insanity for the economy
300,000 people doing nothing , producing nothing for the day.

supply chain now critical.

building materials up 45 % this year.

new houses will cost a fortune
builders cant fulfil their contracts,

an entire nation queued up like sheep waiting to be drenched to see if they should buy a dozen panadol and a hankie Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

insanity all round.

Some experts are now saying we should jump in and catch this Omicron variant for a real and natural immunity to this disease before a far more deadly variant evolves, the jabbed community are locked in now.

That's a stupid as Measles, Chicken Pox or Mumps parties that were ignorantly done years ago & still tried by idiot anti-vaxxers today.

When Covid first appeared in the West smart arses who didn't think it serious ran Covid Parties & quite a few of the attendees & hosts died.

Stupid is as stupid does Forrest. Roll Eyes

The above mentioned diseases have and can be controlled and contained by well proven vaccines, the China virus is out of control, the vaccines are not doing a very good job.
