Any student of logistics could have told the US that ammunition usage would be in excess of perceived requirements. However it shouldn't be too difficult to increase production accordingly. I see on the news just now that a bridge in The Crimea that is a major supply route for the Russians has been damaged, possibly putting it out of service. https://groundreport.in/crimean-bridge-linking-crimea-to-russia-hit-by-huge-expl... Russia may have supply issues of its own.
