Of course it is a state secret - to preserve the state (i.e. Putin) and to deny propaganda to the "enemy" (rest of world)....

Yes, not a good sign for Putin.

I would advise him to ask for a meeting in the UN with Zelensky, and settle for a commitment by Ukraine not to join NATO (which Zelensky has has already offered, to end the war), plus an autonomous Crimea.

But I expect that advice would go the way of the advice offered by one of Louis XVI's economic advisors, to increase taxes on the aristocracy....

Something I find annoying about forum poster ( and not just on this little digital coven) is their constant urge to impute ideas to others they’ve not claimed to adhere to.
As to international law the League of Nations and the UN haven’t managed to impose it yet so how do you suggest it could or should be applied? Not that I’m suggesting it’s a bad idea but like too many good ones our species mindless tribal instincts somehow always get in the way.

Communicate with the right people in the UN.

through which I have learned there is already discussion in the UNSC re limiting the use of the veto.

This Ukraine madness may add urgency to the process.
