It’s quite simple, the Constitution recognises the right to carry arms therefore any restrictions placed thereon by the Srates are illegal as Federal jaw overrides State law where there is a conflict between them

Ask Panther for the ruling. He's posted it here a number of times, including all those references to states having the right to regulate firearms.

You'll find states regulate a number of things listed as rights in the Constitution. The right to vote, breed, own slaves and drive carriages are just a few.

Apologies. Corn, corn-flakes, corn liquor and cornpone are regulated. They aren't a Yankee red-blooded right like shooting, plugging and kindergarten massacres. Even the Injuns had Army blessing in whom we trust to fire away at Custer and other targets. Guns make men, widow-women and red white and blue. The dust settled on that 200 years ago.

(For a while, guns were traded for Injun corn but it didn't end well, for guns or corn).
