What is your BMI ?   [Body mass index]

If it is in a high range, that may be signal that you could correct the problem [yourself].

Yep, I have it (I don't snore though).

I have about 38 obstructions per hour.

Tried every CPAP machine out there, and none of them worked for me.

They do work for 80% of people with sleep apnea though, so don't be discouraged by my experience - get out there and try some.

ResMed are supposedly the best machines out there.

Go to a sleep clinic and get a free 4-week trial and see how you go.

Or, hire one from a chemist.

The only thing that works for me is one of these:

I swear I saw this topic some time ago and written by you.

I suppose I have some sort of sleep apnea. Maybe a mild type that has been mitigated over the years due to weight loss. I normally fall asleep laying on my back position due to exhaustion. And I wake up 10 minutes later from snoring. In those times, I usually roll over to the side and sleep like that and then change over when I wake up at night. Other times, I sleep laying on my front. And I do okay for much of the night. But, unless I get rid of most of my excess weight, I will have to suffer some form of sleep apnea.

I doubt that as I only just got my report of my first ever overnight sleep test with attachments connected to all parts of my body.

Maybe I just commented on a similar post.

Yeah I think weight loss might be a good idea for me as well.

Get one with a humidifier.

e.g. https://www.perthcpap.com.au/collections/cpap-machines/products/resmed-airsense-...

And try different kinds of masks.

Interactions Between Obesity and Sleep Apnea
Among the risk factors for OSA, obesity is probably the most important. Several cross-sectional studies have consistently found an association between increased body weight and the risk of OSA.16

Sleep DRUNKnea

Alcohol Worsens Sleep Apnea Events
Drinking alcohol can also make your sleep apnea worse. Alcohol is a depressant that can make your muscles relax. In the case of your airways, they can relax too much and collapse during sleep. Therefore, if you have OSA, alcohol may increase your risk for apnea events.

Yep.

Losing weight is the single best thing you can do to treat sleep apnea.

Not everyone who has sleep apnea is overweight though.

I have a BMI of 23.3, and I don't snore either.

Everyone is different.

Try the CPAP machine, and experiment with different masks.

You should be able to get a free trial from a sleep clinic - I've had many and they usually just charge for the consultation.

There is just some kind of similarities I have seen in your opening post that I have seen in other posts elsewhere. As if we are re-writing the same topic in a loop. DebateRelate had that issue when I saw the same topic being re-written 3 years later, but repeated with a change of who it involved.
