Nef,
the supermarkets will run out of:
dunny paper,
meat,
pasta,
tinned food.

Go and stock up today before it's all gone.

Probably already too late.

Shoppers flock to ACT supermarkets ahead of lockdown despite pleas over panic buying

People across the ACT are flocking to supermarkets after a snap seven-day lockdown was announced.
Despite pleas from authorities about panic buying, shops across Canberra are full of people buying groceries and other goods.
In response, Coles and Woolworths have introduced buying limits on toilet paper in their stores across the ACT, with customers only allowed to buy two packs at a time.

Seriously, this entire country is full of morons.

The trouble is that unless you join in with the madness
then you'll run out of things you need.

Why? The supermarkets aren't closing. If I need stuff, I can still go.

They run out and can't restock fast enough.
In Melbourne we had supermarkets where
many shelves were empty.

Mostly because dickheads panic bought. If people were intelligent and stayed calm we wouldnt have had these issues

All because of fear.

one of the reasons delta cant be contained.

woolworths and coles would have drivers delivering from their distribution centres in sydney to stores in the ACT.

its one of the reasons delta cant be beaten.

we are interconnected despite the lie state premiers tell.

it will be back in qld very shortly.

they cant stop the cane toad spreading. they cant stop a mouse plague spreading.

a respiratory virus....isolation is useless because you cant isolate.

better to work on your health

Over 1 case !!!!!

I suppose the chief health officer of the ACT and the health minister of the ACT are jealous of all the media time that Dan and Gladys and Dr Chan are receiving

Look at me look at me
Aren't I important

Sounds like they don't want to miss out on locking down like other states have been doing.

Canberra….. gone into lockdown?….. so it’s going to become even more boring  Tongue

Now then…. that news about them 2 women coming into Melbourne from Sydney…. With no permit and both tested positive!

Why did Sydney allow these passengers to leave a hot spot and without permits… in the first place????

It just doesn’t make any sense.

people who knowingly and deliberately breach the rules should face a mandatory 8 months in jail plus a $50 000 fine

The two dickheads that traveled from  Sydney to Byron bay are a prime example

drivers crossing state borders are tested regularly. Toll drivers every 3 days, other companies are at a minimum, weekly.

And they also have strict instructions about where they can and cannot go. They get to their drop of, the loading dock workers unload .... the driver stays in his cab and has zero contact with them.

They will you fool.
I know what happened in Melbourne during our 112 day lockdown.
Many people had whole garages full to the roof with rolls of toilet paper
and they were selling it on the black market.
A 4 roll pack of high quality toilet paper was selling for $100 on Ebay.

Canberra lockdown: Gungahlin school, youth centre added to ACT exposure site list

The number of COVID-10 exposure sites in the ACT has grown to 39, with authorities adding the Downer Community Centre, the Casey Supabarn and a Kingston medical centre to the list.

Chief Health Officer Dr Kerryn Coleman has encouraged Canberrans to continue monitoring ACT Health's list of exposure sites.

The Gold Creek School, including its early childhood learning centre, was earlier added to the list of the ACT's exposure sites, where potentially thousands have inadvertently come into contact with COVID-19.

Canberra's first Covid case, patient zero, who sent ACT into lockdown revealed as Commonwealth games wrestler Cedric Nyamsi

...

A man who claims he is the first COVID-19 case of Canberra's current outbreak has spoken out, saying he doesn't know how he caught the virus and that he is seriously ill.

Cedric Nyamsi, 27, is a Commonwealth Games wrestler and has lived in Canberra for the past three years, after migrating from Cameroon.

"Because of me, Canberra is in lockdown. But I didn't do anything wrong. Someone gave it to me too," Region Media quoted him as saying.

The number of close contacts linked to Canberra's Covid outbreak has grown to more than 4000, as the amount of exposure sites also continues to increase.

Health officials on Saturday said there were 4500 people who have self-identified as close contacts linked to virus cases, an increase from the 3900 who had been known about on Friday.

The increase in close contacts also coincided with two new venues added to the list of exposure sites in the ACT.

Among them was a new time for Fiction Bar in Civic, which was linked to the first case identified in the ACT as part of the outbreak.

The new time for Fiction includes the period from between 9pm and 11.59pm on Saturday, August 7.

The exposure time for the Civic venue also includes the previously listed time of between 12am and 4.45am on Sunday, August 8.

https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/7386007/close-contacts-grow-as-exposure-s...

Canberra's population is around 430,000.  The ACT covers a large area.
