I look at history…. When there were way less people in the world and way more land….. yet…. Still humans invade and take over what little settlement some had…. Like as if them invaders were too lazy to make their own settlements and are totally “have yours” types.
Like wtf…. Over and over again I see history of humans like this.

There are those that just cannot get on with, or let live, or even contribute to be part of… oh no… they have to burn, rape, kill and suppress instead.
And that’s historical parts….yet still happening in our so called modern world times of enlightenment. It’s never frickin ending!!

Are humans divided into two groups?
The ones that are industrious and put work into being in a settlement to make a community, and those that come in to drive everyone out and displace them….taking what isn’t theirs, taking what they didn’t work for?

Where and what is their protection?

Well, it is always going to be like this. I am sorry, but having a handful of military bases in a vast ioslated country with a few humvees and planes, with occasional patrols to near by larger towns, is by no means 'controlling' the country.

The fact that the speed and the lack of blood shed that the Tailban took over from the retreating US troops, showed that in reality, the US and the Afghan government never really had the control of the country for the past 20 years.

The government was never going to work. Ethnically, the Pushtans / taliban - made of 70% of the ethnicity of the country. The exclusion of them is simply never going to work in Afghanistan. Its like... in a fantasy world, a foreign army came to Australia, and established Sharia law with a mostly muslim parliament. Its just never going to work.

Maybe because they were trained in a modern conventional war requiring high-tech which, once the US was gone, was not available to them.

How much did the Afghan army do compared to the US?

Taliban fighters were fighting a long-term guerilla-style form of warfare of whom most had 20 years of fighting experience.

Gordon, aside, from select regions, and the capital, there was never any democracy or modernity for the general population of Afghanistan.

You cant give democracy via a handful of military bases, guns and humvees. It just wont happen.
