Well Google themselves made a bad job of trying to explain it. But hey, just about anything to do with the quantum realm is inexplicably weird. On the other hand Google, who are investing huge amounts in quantum research, may have made the entire thing up to put the Chinese on the wrong track thus gaining a lead in the field for themselves.
