Front loaders are good, but yeah the cycles are long.

Having both is the way to go. I might go buy one, use the toploader for the towels and sheets, front loader for the nice clothes.

you can get more in a top loader  I dont think you have the problem with lint in a front loader   my washing machines all come with a no lint claim they cost more but its worth it..dryers have a terrible problem with lint..

And with a front loader, you can't race to the laundry and chuck in a few extra things you find once it gets going.

I can with mine

Front loader they don't wear out clothes like a top loader. The agitator in top loaders increases wear on clothes.

I prefer the sun for drying.

A friend repairs washing machines he says LG are great.

I have a top loader never had a problem Fisher Paykel

as for LG  know of two people had them and the basic every day load took over an  hour to go through the cycle....no thanks..

There is a "quick 30" option on my LG front loader.

However, it is true that you can't chuck in a few extra items once the wash has begun like you can in a top loader.

On the other hand, we did have some items torn when we had a top loader. Front loaders do not damage the items like our top loader used to.

We use the 30' wash too.
Our clothes are not really 'dirty'.

front loaders give a better wash than top  loaders

and avoid Fisher & Paykel .. they're good machines but have so many unnecessary components they are more likely to break down

That's not true..... what front loaders do is give a reasonable wash using far less water & less noise.

We've had an LG 10kg front loader for a about 3 yrs now & can't complain.

Our previous washer was a Fisher & Paykel 11kg top loader - could wash big blankets & Doonas ... was reasonable on water ..... it wore out after 10 years..... mechanical not electrical.

A reason why I didn't by another Fisher & Paykel is because they were taken over by Chinese company Haier.

I have 3 LG TV's in the house as well.

it is in my experience.. i had an LG front washer, after about 10 yrs I replaced it with a top load washer (don't recall brand), and then replaced that after only 6 months because I wasn't happy with the wash. I've gone back to a front load and after 3 years haven't got a single complaint

I've got a big laundry so maybe I'll pick up a 2nd hand front loader just for something different.

Ours has a 24min cycle. Also a pause so you can add stuff. I'd never get another top loader after having a front loader.

Yes we're happy with ours but washers aint washers Sol....... front laoders use less water & are less noisy ..... ours has a steamimg program

but I'd say the economy goes out the window with that

big items are better dealt with by a top loader

unless you can afford & have the space a large commercial front loader. Shocked
