Yes, I think there could be something to that... but a surely, bull bar or not, a huge jolt should deploy airbags... particularly side airbags so your head doesn’t hit hard sideways... that causes a lot of serious or deadly injury.

it depends on they they connect the bull bars to the car ... weld them directly to the chassis and unless you hit hard enough to crumple the bull bar onto the bumper and trigger the bags, the airbags are never going to deploy
