That’s a good link with info Gordy...thanks for that. I will read it up over the weekend.
As for the type of BMW.... hubby says it’s similar to one I had (until it got recalled for faulty airbags) I loved that red zippy car... was a dream to drive, hugged the road so well. In about 3 years I could’ve had it on club reg... dang it. Mine was a 328i. Ah well, them there’s the breaks.
Update on son... he’s sore, whiplash etc but his wrist is really painful from hanging onto the steering wheel .... coz air bags could’ve stopped that .... He is going to get an x-ray. You know, when the body takes a huge jarring as such, one doesn’t realise till the next day all the pains that follow.
I was 21 as a passenger in a car accident once, my friend and I were on the way to do a dress making pattern drafting course. She went onto the main road to turn right, in the early 7.30 am morn of Saturday, in her Datsun 180b, and she did not see a Ute, with a trailer full of cement dust, coming over the railway crossing towards her, and I saw it and it was too late to say stop, I closed my eyes and braced for the impact. I hadn’t even put my seatbelt on yet after she picked me up.
Did I pass out or something? It was a cold morning when no shops were open, it was void of anyone, to me opening my eyes to see hoards of people including an ambulance hovering around us. Shattered glass in my mouth, eyes, hair, all over me.
Well we ended up in hospital as my right leg had hit the gear stick so hard, it moved a muscle out of place. My friend had a steel pin put in her shoulder. I was limping for ages after that. But it really came back to haunt me when I was pregnant. My hip would click in and out of place!
To this day, and I didn’t get told I could do a TAC claim... I have spent thousands on chiropractors over the years... but arthritis is what it seems to love old injury sites!
Funny story... when my kids were younger, and I would walk quietly up the hallway to check they are sleeping okay etc. they would tell me they would know I was there because they could hear my bones clicking! PMSL.... so much for trying to walk quietly.
