Thank heavens we don't have people like this running the country.
Virgin CEO calls for open borders, even if ‘some people may die’
https://www.theage.com.au/national/virgin-ceo-calls-for-open-borders-even-if-som... Quote:Virgin Australia’s chief executive has called for the country’s borders to be reopened before the stated goal of mid-2022, saying it made long-term sense, even if “some people may die”.
Speaking at a business lunch in Brisbane on Monday, Jayne Hrdlicka said she did not agree with the current stated reopening date of “mid-2022” put forward by the federal government in last week’s federal budget.
Well, Jayne... all I have to say is... go **** yourself.
Can't get more selfish than that, putting money above peoples' lives. But, it isn't surprising, of course. I hope Virgin go bankrupt (didn't that almost happen last year? What idiot decided to bail them out?)
And, I bet she isn't the only one calling for borders to reopen even if people die as a result.
As I've said several times already - thank goodness there's a Federal election due next year or the borders may already be fully reopened by now and we'd probably be counting the daily Covid deaths.
I wonder what Jayne would have to say if a member of
her familly died from Covid if the borders were reopened too soon?
this, of course, is where you are 100 % wrong.
the shutdown of the global economy due to covid has resulted in an increase in third world populations living in abject poverty from 7 % to 9 %. thats about 150 million people who have been impoverished because the west, europe and places like australia have closed borders .
thats people who relied on global trade, not in iron ore so they could lead rich entitled lives but in absolute basics so they could survive.
look it up.
literally 10's of millions of kids died last year, not due to covid but due to their parents losing their jobs as rich westerners established "safe spaces" and refused to trade.
literally, the selfishness of the fat entitled older western chode , who would allow this to happen and then turn a blind eye to it is reprehensible.
and good on jane for speaking the truth.
the sooner we get back to a normal global trade, the sooner the kids in bangladesh will have parents back in the workforce and the sooner they get a meal.
jane deserves our recognition for her compassion.
she should be immediately placed on the UN human rights commission
