I am extremely fit and healthy with no underlying health issues, I take zero medication, I will not be taking the Astra Zeneca vaccine. I have a much lower chance of dying from Covid than I do from blood clots related to the vaccine. In fact Im fairly sure Ive had Covid19 and recovered from it.
But you didn't get tested and make available your assumed positive diagnosis to the community around you?
For shame.
Last year, I really wasnt too switched onto the symptoms at the time to be quite honest, I rarely get ill and it is never enough to make me think that I need any form of medical assistance, this was the same. It was only after reading a list of common symptoms weeks later that I realised my wife and myself had exhibited all of those in a minor way for a week or so. I think you will find there are a lot of people in the community who have had it and not realised.
I’m going to have to agree with you Rhino... because....it was early January 2020, my daughter is up in the Gold Coast..... unknowingly, some COVID 19 thing was happening up there, I think (Hanks and wife came in with it, then later hospitalised)
Daughter went into a certain food place... she started feeling ill and came down with full blown flu... losing smell and taste.
As it wasn’t yet understood this COVID virus and symptoms... maybe it was... maybe not. Masks etc didn’t seem to be the order of the day.
About 3/4 during her flu thingy..... we picked her up at Melbourne airport. In the car with her.
I then, within a week, started feeling run down and wham... got the flu symptoms, much to my surprise, in mid summer??!!
(Odd thing is... hubby didn’t get any symptoms at all with us)
I uptake vit d, c, zinc, and other stuff, shortened flu symptoms to 4 days tops.
Once the Covid infections came in thick and fast by mid March....and Qld border was locked....I wondered if I had it and survived it?
Doctors surgeries were shut down and couldn’t get an appointment unless it was urgent, and no blood tests were being conducted. Phone appointments only.
I wanted to know if a blood test could determine if I had it or not.
Mid winter, finally there were those testing stations for swabs... I went and my results showed negative.
I’ve given up. But now wondering.... if a blood test could in fact show whether I’ve got anti bodies from Covid or not?
I have a medical appointment next week and will ask about having a test for that.
Stay tuned. Will let you know what doc says.
PS funny thing is.... I usually get a bit of flu during later winter months, but had none since last year in January.
Thanks to isolation, mandatory masks, social distancing, extra-extra sanitising, lockdowns etc.
Very interesting observations. Thanks.
Yes, it is possible both of you had covid.
I think the test for covid and the test for antibodies are different tests. I am not sure on that.
So if they are testing for covid and you have the antibodies, it won't 'see' those.
In my experience immunity boosters and the like are very good.
Whatever you can do to help yourself is good.
