Yes I know it’s in Indonesia, but it may as well be just Bali coz their gen don’t seem to know the rest of that country’s existence Grin

I went there 4 years ago (had to …. their wedding)
All them young uns like to do is sit in beach or lazing by pool and drink.
Me wants to explore, go out and about, can’t stay in one spot too long.
And we hired a van with guide and went to different places and sights.
Would I go back there again. No not really.

yes, but Dilli isnt an international tourist attraction. And Indonesia launched a huge clean up drive about 10 years ago, I have seen other areas transformed, but not Bali, its gotten worse.

True, just stating that I think it may be a cultural aspect. And its a shame Dili isnt more well known. Timors a wonderful place.

Undoubtedly a cultural aspect to it, I can remember staying in a remote area of Indonesia where they introduced a rubbish disposal service, each household was issued with a sturdy metal bin for the truck to pick up once a week. Within a month the truck had no bins to pick up, they had all been utilised for other purposes such as cooking pigs or doing the washing. But Australians can be just as filthy, the difference is that we have a sophisticated system of rubbish removal and a rather low population density. We just need to stop using plastic altogether, and the plastic they burn everywhere in Indo, they dont understand that it releases carcinogens directly into the environment.
