Mandatory 'Buybacks', & voluntary surrender of firearms won't work in America.......Nations worldwide, that don't even have Second Amendment Rights to keep & bear firearms, that attempted these methods failed over the years to bring in over 35% of all registered firearms overall.....

Over 98% of all American Firearms are un-registered...there is no national database....so the Government is left with only door to door forceful confiscation, & we all know that won't end well under the very best of conditions....

If Anti-2A Leftists believe gun control works, & guns are the problem, then there is no such thing as gun-control: you need complete gun bans!

Why would you settle for a little murder (or just a few mass murders), when you could eliminate it all?

Every shooting 'event' offers politicians new opportunities for making Americans incrementally safer, through less & less freedom.

"Controlling" semi-auto rifles means you have to control semi-auto-pistols... & then revolvers...... & then pump/lever action rifles....... & then finally bolt/break action guns.

If guns are the cause, then there are no safe guns in the hands of your neighbors......period.

So if politicians are calling for “common sense gun control”, they're just feeding the public carloads of bullshidt.

Total gun bans, & confiscation will remove only a small part of the supply.....experts say that at best they will only get 30-35% compliance......so the problem will be the 300,000,000+ or so firearms that the federal & state governments can't find, or Americans refuse to give up, & they know are still out there, but are helpless to find a simple & painless solution to.

In the end nothing resolves the problem of criminals possessing guns, & criminal misuse of firearms, after all more than 99% of all law-abiding American gun owners never used their lawful firearms illegally.

There is no 'FIX' to your problem......after all, American gun owners are quite willing to accept the 'Cost of Freedom'......so it seems you Anti-2A....Anti-Gunners are the ones with the monumental problem of what to do with America's guns......not law-abiding American gun owners.......their only problem seem to be YOU......& they are content with continuing to ignore your cute little grumbles & squeaks from afar.....

What are YOU going to do???? Are YOU going to volunteer to go to America & confiscate their guns???

If you fast for 13 hours each day for a month, you would surely lose weight from being overweight to a normal weight range after one month. For the other 11 months of the year, you might eat more than usual and regain weight. But, I suspect that this shooter would have had Ramadan on his mind as approaching, if that was his culture. At the very least, you prepare yourself for having to deal with a caloric deficit during daylight hours. I do not know of a fat Muslim. And the few that I have seen are changed people if they do participate in Ramadan.

But after a month, your body will adjust so that you can eat less at night and in the morning before the fast starts. And after a month of doing that, you will lose the weight.

My point was that the Muslims I worked with looked no different during Ramadan than they did before or after because, as the admitted, they gorged until the wee hours of the morning. They weren't fasting all day and going home and eating dry toast and tea.
