ROME (Reuters) - Prosecutors in the northern Italian region of Piedmont said on Monday they had seized a batch of 393,600 shots of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine following the death of a man hours after he had received a jab.

The move represents another blow to the image of the AstraZeneca vaccine in Italy and will further hinder the government's anti-coronavirus inoculation campaign.

On Sunday Piedmont's regional government suspended use of the batch, ABV5811, after Sandro Tognatti, a 57-year-old music teacher, fell ill and died in circumstances that have not yet been clarified.

Magistrates in Sicily ordered the seizure of a separate batch of AstraZeneca vaccine last week following the sudden deaths of two men who had recently been inoculated.

ROME, March 15 (Reuters) - Prosecutors in the northern Italian region of Piedmont said on Monday they had seized a batch of 393,600 shots of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine following the death of a man hours after he had received a jab.

On Sunday Piedmont’s regional government suspended use of the batch after Sandro Tognatti, a 57-year-old music teacher, fell ill and died in circumstances that have not yet been clarified.

Ireland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland have suspended use of the AstraZeneca vaccine following blot-clotting issues, some of them fatal, in people who had used it. (Reporting by Emilio Parodi, writing by Gavin Jones, editing by Crispian Balmer)

From Korea

Most of those being the same adverse effects you get with all vaccines such as sore arm, redness at injection site, and as the article said most disappeared after a few days.

The rollout of the vaccine is becoming a public relations and logistical disaster

Have a look at all the things around you that work seamlessly Bobby
That great smartphone in your pocket
Your television
Hot and cold running water
Your laptop
When you go to Coles or Woolworths
They have literally a million items
that they have to source from all over the world
That they have to distribute to the far reaches of Australia
Millions upon millions of complex logistical interactions

And yet every time you go into Woolworths or Coles the exact thing you want is almost always there
Except when some government nincompoop creates hysteria with a lockdown and we run out of toilet paper

The marketplace
The capitalist system is simply so efficient

And now we contrast this to the government who are charged with rolling out one little item
and I can guarantee you it will be a catastrophe

The rollout of the vaccine should be handed over 2 places like Coles and Woolworths and their logistical no how manifest through toll holdings Lindsay Fox ipek

If you want something done efficiently remove government from the equation
And let the competent confident powerful switched on capitalists perform the task

As for this public relations disaster
I'm sure we have cretans like Daniel and Dr Skeletor from Queensland confusing the daylights out of the public

Get some good sydney-based public relations firms to run a campaign
John Singleton or Gerry Harvey or dicksmith people who know how to sell things

Let's reduce the size of government

let's acknowledge the efficiency of capitalism

Let's get the public vaccinated

And return to our awesomeness and glorious capitalist system
