Still small scale studies. And the vaccine is coming in

Yes small scale studies. But you don't need to have large numbers. Except perhaps where the results are inconclusive.

Actually you if the stats on the small are inconcluive. The authors even suggest larger studies

the Oxford jab currently fares much worse in the eye disorder department even though 1 million less doses had been administered compared to the Pfizer jab as of the 21st February. We told you last week how the number of people going blind had doubled within just 2 weeks increasing from 8 people as of the 31st January to 16 people as of the 14th February.

Well unfortunately the number has now almost tripled in just three weeks with another 7 people reported to be now blind as a result of the Oxford jab. As of the 21st February the total number of people now blind stands at 23.

The total number of eye disorders caused by the Oxford jab have also increased by 456 in just seven days to a total of 1613.

How many more people will need to go blind for the authorities to halt the roll-out of these experimental “vaccines”?

Questions raised over AstraZeneca vaccine as Europe pauses roll out over safety concerns

It was supposed to be our ticket to freedom after more than a year of the coronavirus pandemic. But our vaccine roll out has now hit a hurdle.

The abrupt decision came after Austria reported serious adverse effects in two cases, including a 49-year-old nurse who died of severe blood coagulation 10 days after receiving the shot.

A 60-year-old woman in Denmark also died after developing a blood clot, and there are also reports of a death and three hospitalisations relating to blood clots in Norway.

So far, there have been no reports of blood clots among those who have already received their first vaccine dose in Australia.

Two cases is considered caution not evidence of widespread problems. They'll restart again nce the cause is discovered

The stats were conclusive for the study. Some data analysts believe 20 per treatment, as long as 20 finish the course. In this case 72 started, 72 finished; 24 in each treatment scenario.

My approach is: You need roughly 20 cases in each treatment group to get a reliable result. However, in one of the treatment groups all cases must reach the primary end point. So, what you need is the number of cases that will give approximately 20 cases reaching the end point."

The Pfizer mRNA vaccine is known to severely depress the immune system for one week following the vaccine, so this must surely be the case here since the AstraZeneca vaccine uses the same experimental gene technology.

How can I trust the article when it doesn't get this right?

The Pfizer vaccine and the AstraZeneca work in different ways, they don't use the same experimental gene technology.

Pfizer is an mRNA vaccine, Astra uses a weakened non replicating virus.

I will still wait for the l;arger studies which will be largely irrelevant anyway since the vaccine is available. But are you anti-vaccine?

'Stopping' the use of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is purely a political ploy by the EU (most countries which have blocked its use are EU members) to get back at GB over Brexit. Also not forgetting that Pfizer although a US outfit has manufacturing facilities in Germany, so the EU would prefer use of the Pfizer vaccine.

Not sure its that, its just overcaution with a new med. Its similar to the pauses in clinical testing we had months ago. It will restart soon.

The odds of nobody dying after taking the vaccine is close to 0.  Same with chicken soup or ice cream

I've had it with conspiracy theorists.
