Well, there is no point covering your mouth when you yawn because the germs will make their way onto your hand and also out through open spaces from your hand. The idea of the glass barrier is to harm minimise germs getting spread to other people. Do you shut your doors and windows during the cold winter months? I mean, the cold wind does not travel in straight lines, either.

Plexiglass barrier doesn't work with aerosols. A waste of time and money.

Your picture shows for certain that plexiglass has its uses. Like an umbrella won't stop the rain from hitting all of you, or the water that splashes up off the ground. But, it offers protection to mitigate getting wet.

Plexiglass stops direct transmissions. And when you see the people behind the glass use sanitiser per new person, they mean to minimise transmission.

Plexiglass doesn't do anything to stop covid.

This idiocy came from the mistaken belief covid was spread by droplets.

It took the CDC 2 years to admit aerosol spread of virus the Japanese knew  covid was aerosol with Diamond Princess cruise ship outbreak.

the 1.5m social distancing was another flawed policy based on ingnorance with ignoring aerosol spread.

They are not spread exclusively by droplets. But, I would rather aerosols with the virus float around for 10 minutes with no more than the outside chance that they go over or around the plexiglass and are inhaled by a potential recipient nearby. You have a lot less chance of infecting someone than by breathing, coughing or sneezing directly near someone. Masks would not be needed either, if we did not need barriers to minimise the risk of infection.

I have to ask the obvious question at this declining stage of the
pandemic:  Why are the ant-vaxxers and COVID-deniers still so
hot and bothered—now after more than three years—to be arguing
the toss about the effectiveness, or otherwise, of masks and /or
vaccines?

Surely it's a waste of their mental energy—the classic flogging of
a dead horse?

Because you need to be held accountable for the damage you have caused society.

I have to laugh...

Sir Lastnail has just inadvertently proved my point—twice!—about the
anti-vaxxers wasting their time, and still being all hot and bothered.

I'm thinking he needs a cup of tea, a Bex, and a good lie down.      Grin

Yep, that's definitely been proven with Covid.

A couple of statistics to counter Bobby's silly anti-vaxxer memes...

...

Another 1,817 people admitted to hospital last week.
There are still 47,629 active cases here in Australia.

And Yvette.  Roll Eyes

Here's Yvette (because "Dr." Gerrard obviously isn't brave enough to have a personal Twitter account):
