I'm just wondering why Australia is the 'laziest' nation of people on the planet?

I'll take a stab and say it's the Landscape - especially with the likes of the sedative blue haze of Eucalyptus Forests and bushlands (many species of gum, etc).
Australia is situated in the Sahulian region of the world (no, it's not 'South Asia' <austral-asia> as the CCP grovelers like Rudd call it) - which just happens to be the most virulent region on the planet.

So I'm guessing the Aboriginal culture may have been affected by this immense Blue Haze of Sedation around the country before deforestation (80% gone now) commenced after 1788.
I don't think it is the only cause, but I think it is a big contributer.
I think it has also affected many Whities too since 1788.

...go to sleep, in the dreamtime - as the Whities have turned into a tired old people themselves that just couldn't give a rats about anything.

Which dovetails into the reality that management is exploiting Australian workers, using a threat of permanent impoverishment by chopping them out of the wages loop and throwing them onto the despised heap of worthless unemployed... the same threats they use over and over again in their pursuit of some myth of profiteering by paying less to those who actually produce....

NOBODY profits overall by a reduction in wages, since cutting wages reduces the ability of your chosen market to buy your product... there is a balance, or there was in the West, between paying enough to secure your markets while ensuring the general prosperity of all - and crass exploitation of a worker group that you offer one riceball and fish-head a day...... who cannot even dream of buying your product...

P.S.  Why would any nation continue to expect its men to serve uncomplainingly when they are increasingly being cut out of the loop and are even being threatened with culling, apart from the very real threat looming over each and every one of them of reaching retirement having been stripped of genuine equal opportunity to progress in their chosen field while being stripped of assets via unfair divorce etc laws and rights of women that increasingly permit absolute control over anything, even complaint, by any woman even if insane??

These are the same men you will ask to put their lives on the line for this country in a real crisis - and I happen to believe they deserve far better than this crass betrayal by their own government(s) in their pursuit of their personal gain and control to shore up that personal gain ....
