Well - in contacts with Chinese ladies of the better educated class - they make no bones about wanting to come here for the freedom compared to China... and their parents all agree...  they would prefer to see their daughter here than there and prosper on merit, and if she has a daughter not endure the discrimination that is still in play against the roles of women (unless you are a favoured party member of course - like ours - they are above the pack and the common herd and get nice little sinecures doing nothing for mega-pay like that Kommissar or whatever in Hong Kong).....

Not too many doctors, specialists, lawyers etc want to exchange their career path for a job caring for children and old people in the family... being such a 'forward' nation these days - China is still very backward in some ways.... and while claiming a 'woman shortage' requiring men to go to Bhutan or Laos to find a wife - they are abandoning their slightly older and highly educated women...
