Poll added.

I reckon the court of Public Opinion has him guilty.

In my opinion I think it is more likely that he is innocent.

Doesn't matter anymore politically, his career is finished.

Just imagine for a moment that he is innocent ...

Is it fair that his career has been ended based on an unprovable accusation?

Can't find the actual thread on the topic, so this is as good a place as any to post it - Interesting - Parliament makes formal apology to victims of harassment, bullying in wake of Jenkins report Smiley

57 pages and still going on - there is no case to answer.  I don't like the man myself, but there is no case to answer.

We need to determine if we are going to continue, as a society, to apply a Black List label to anyone accused - or if we are going to accept that without a case to answer or even when found not guilty, that person has every right to continue life without interference or loss.

I despise politicians as a class, and have no time at all for Porter individually, but we simply cannot permit trial by assumption and innuendo in the court of public opinion to hold sway over established legal and thus social rights.

Christ, Igor - you're using a lot of powder in the guns today.... already we've clean through and throughed both Labor and LNP flagships with one broadside - now we're chewing on public bias...

You can rabbit on as much as you like Grappler.  Fact is...we have a Federal Government Minister who stands accused of anal rape.  That needs to be dealt with.....in some way.  This is novel because (a) the accuser has passed, and (b) the accused holds a very senior position in Government.  We cannot just brush that aside by reverting back to normal conventions.  We have to work outside that to get this sorted...for his benefit.

So - present the evidence in a court of law for us..... you can rabbit on as much as you like,Aussie, but you remain wrong.  Put up or shut up...

Now for a little stir to the mix - Morrison revealed that the inquiry into the way things are in Parliament etc had been finalised and he thanked St Brittany for her input.  Obviously he has to suck up to her or it is Inevitable™ that he will be hung drawn and quartered publicly as a rape apologist misogynist, even though the evidence is flimsy and the matter is still to go before a court..... I know how hard it is to be soundly defeated over what the 'security' staff should have done.... certainly it would have helped if a full statement had been taken IMMEDIATELY .... but do try to stick to the fact that this entire accusation hinges on a drunken recollection of waking up to find him on top of her, something he refutes.

We cannot have guilt by accusation here.... if we did none of your pets would 'scape the lash.... everyone would be guilty without trial .... denounced for anything and it's straight to the gulag for you my son.... sorry - not in my country.
