In a post announcing the unprecedented move, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said the risk of allowing Trump to use the platform is too great following the president's incitement of a mob that touched off a deadly riot in the US Capitol on Wednesday.

Zuckerberg says Trump's account will be locked "for at least the next two weeks" but could remain locked indefinitely.

"The shocking events of the last 24 hours clearly demonstrate that President Donald Trump intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor, Joe Biden," Zuckerberg wrote.

It immediately declared that for privacy reasons it was going to encrypt all of Facebook messenger
Thereby wiping it's hand of the problem
And making sure it's bottom line does not take a hit

My point about Facebook has nothing to do with trump
Trump barely had a presence on Facebook
He was a Twitter man

the point about Facebook is that Facebook make cash dependent on how long they can keep people looking at Facebook

And they have found that the best way to keep people looking at Facebook
Is 2 amp up the polarization
And have as much fighting and outrage as possible
Because people like to hang around and look at that

Facebook could just allow people to post pictures of their cooking creations
but people would be on and off the platform within 3 minutes

Instead Facebook and indeed all social media
And dare I say all mainstream media
Recognise that the way to maximum profits
Is to have people always at each other's throats
That keeps people there endlessly
And that keeps the ratings and the ad revenue maximized

Trump had absolutely nothing to do with designing that system
And let's be frank
All media companies have made a fortune off the back of trump
They have done everything in their power to make him appear the most polarizing person they can
Purely and simply because they know that it rates
And ratings = cash in the media world

I started out here in my discussions, at every opportunity reaching across the aisle.

each and every time I tried I put my hand out, I'm over it. Those people are not interested in discussion or debate, just proving themselves right with whatever material they can, fake, real or cherry-picked out of context. So long as they "win", what is real doesn't matter.

I'll take a break until Biden is inaugurated and just act like the rest of you. It's liberating.

And besides, you'll support Trump's rudeness, applauded it, especially Scoot. He gets praise for not being PC and telling it like it is.

As for Scoot, he's made it clear the person he is. I tried with him most of all because I foolishly mistook his weet-bix box psychology for actual insight and a willingness to genuinely discuss Trump.

In the end, there is nothing left of that Scoot. The only thing that remains is that he supports Trump. The reasons why no matter how contradictory keep changing just so long as Trump comes out on top.

It's entirely plausible, given his propensity towards horses and anything equine and his love of Trump being on top that he'd relishing the chance to be Trump's knob jockey.

It's the natural conclusion to his frothing over Trump all these years and would explain so very much. Most closet cases end up hating women as he does and obsessing over young boys and men being strong and manly while at the same time victims of the Matriarchy or feminisation.

scoot sees certain behaviours in the donald which are worthy of examination and worthy of admiration.

unfortunately , the donald is a little too highly strung.

he has very good gut instincts and he is certainly correct that the establsihment conspired to oust him but he became emotionally uncalibrated and didnt stay true to being a 'superior man".

he let his emotions get the better of him and that is a catastrophe for someone from the noble right.
