Former US president Donald T****'s impeachment trial will begin the week of February 8, after Democrats and Republicans reached a compromise on the proposed timeline.

Mr T**** will be the first former president to face an impeachment trial after leaving office.

Under the timeline, the House of Representatives will formally deliver the impeachment article against Mr T**** to the chamber late on Monday (US time), with initial proceedings set down for Tuesday.
