i acknowledge thats how most people live their lives.

they just exist and seek out ways to distract themselves, stimulate themselves and remain safe

As you admit, the instinct of nearly every human who has ever lived - where they have the wherewithal to do so.

Mark McGowan said recently that only something like an "emergency" would cause a delay in WA reopening on February 5th.

Well, I'd have to say the current "emergency" (unfolding disaster, actually) in the eastern States should qualify as a reason to keep WA's borders closed.

Here's hoping.

Agreed.

And Mark gets to determine what an emergency is, so he very clever in using that terminology.

Covid is coming to get you lot out West, make no mistake.

It's Marks final defiant last stand, Feb the 5th or bust.

New years has been shut down and all interstate visitors and festivities are no longer allowed in WA because of that one filthy disease carrying back packer.

Ted Cruz confuses Washington state with Western Australia in attack on Covid ‘kill-joys’

The US Republican mistook a Facebook post by the Australian state on New Year’s Eve party restrictions for an edict by the Democrat-run state

Quote:
US senator Ted Cruz has been ridiculed for posting a tweet in which he mixed up the American state of Washington with Western Australia while criticising Covid restrictions.

The Republican politician – who tried to win the party’s presidential nomination in 2016 – retweeted a post by the government of Western Australia, whose handle is WA Government – that appeared to advise a woman that dancing would not permitted at a New Year’s Eve party at her home.

Cruz, who has campaigned against pandemic restrictions, took it as cue to attack the Democrat-led state of Washington, whose widely used abbreviation is also WA, saying that those in leadership were “power-drunk authoritarian kill-joys”. This was despite the fact that the original tweet did not mention Washington.

A lot of Americans also don't know the difference between Australia and Austria from what we've seen over the years.

The selfishness and stupidity continues...

The George COVID rules breach as 300 party the night away on NYE

Quote:
About 300 party-goers are understood to have breached New Year’s Eve COVID rules by partying the night away at Perth’s The George.

It’s understood police stumbled across the party while patrolling the Perth CBD last night.

The West Australian understands police will now launch a major investigation into the incident which has set off alarm bells given the new outbreak of COVID-19 in Perth.

Police attended The George as part of a routine inspection around 11.30pm on New Year’s Eve and found the doors locked and the windows blocked out.

Officers could not get in through the front door and so scaled the wall to get inside where they will allege they found “several hundred” people attending a private, ticketed event.

Police Commissioner Chris Dawson said he had seen vision of many of the guests flouting mask-wearing rules and dancing, with evidence SafeWA QR code posters had been ripped off the walls.

So, no excuses then... can't say they didn't know because it was obviously deliberate.

Quote:
Mr Dawson slammed the venue for its “blatant disregard” and of the COVID restrictions and warned the operators of The George faced fines of up to $250,000 and losing their liquor license over their “selfish behaviour”.

Let's hope so.

Let's hope they all get the book thrown at them.

I know the room they partied in quite well.

I've attended many functions there - it's right out the back of the building, hidden away.

Pity, it's a good pub, but I hope they get shut down for this.

indeed frank.

actually they are hypnotised.

how do you hypnotise someone?

you get them to focus on one thing, put all their attention on it

covid, covid, covid covid covid.

then you use a repetititve monotone to induce a durr state

keep you safe, keep you safe, keep you safe.

after 2 years of focus on one word and 2 years of monotonous repitition of catchphrases, they are now puppets.

its really not their fault.

they are just easily hypnotised and too lazy to think for themselves

safety safety safety

keep the community safe

from a cold virus  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

from something that is probably currently infecting 100,000 NSW people with no ramping of ambulances or people jostling for a hospital bed.

covid derangement syndrome Grin Grin Grin

They were, and still are.

Hardly any cases of COVID, and all we do is wear a mask inside.

As insane as WA

Walking your dog is no longer an exception to Quebec's curfew
However, the provincial government indicated it would again permit dog walking as soon possible.

https://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/walking-your-dog-is-no-longer-an-exc...

Other idiotic Australian states also limited time spent outdoors - until they did a complete about-face and encouraged time outdoors.

It's about pandering to the gweggys and Carls, the hyponotised brown shirts (and browned pants) of society.

I wish WA can control the virus. If mining industries were affected by the virus, then Australia economy would be pretty much fuxked in 2022.
